Champion Of Largest Cash Buy In Tournament In Canada Will Be Crowned Today
Today is the day. After three grueling starting flights that saw a grand total of 1,032 entrants, the final nine are all that's left. One of these nine men will earn the distinction of winning the first World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event ever held in Canada which also happens to be Canada's largest live cash buy in tournament ever. The man closest to completing that task is chip leader Sonny Sekhon who will bring to the table a stack of 4.66 million.
Day 3 saw the shortest day of poker for this historic tournament as 30 players returned to the felt to play down to the final nine. Players such as Day 1a Norman Overdijk, Kevin Huang, David Lim, David Pecaski, Mark Potovsky, Lawrence Iampen, and Steven Schartner all returned to play for Day 3 but saw their demise before the end of the day.
Once the field reached ten remaining players, the final ten combined for the unofficial final table. The final table bubble popped relatively quickly, as short stacked Seth Maretz moved all in before the flop with pocket fours only to be snapped off by Michael Collins from the next seat over with 
. The board was of no help to Maretz and his elimination confirmed our official final table.

Biermann Draws First Blood
Sonny Sekhon opened to 120,000 from early position and Ryan Biermann called from late position. The rest of the table folded and the flop came down 
. Sekhon continued out for 145,000 and Biermann flat called.
The 
hit the turn and Sekhon slowed down with a check. Biermann fired 270,000 and Sekhon released, awarding Biermann the pot.

Biermann Applying Pressure

Ryan Biermann raised to 100,000 from under the gun and it folded around to Michael Collins who called from the cutoff. John Crncic decided to tag along from the big blind and the three saw a flop of 
. Crncic checked to Biermann who continued for 150,000.
Collins quickly came over the top for 300,000 and Crncic got out of the way. After about thirty seconds, Biermann announced that he was all in which was a bet for Collins' tournament life. Collins released his hand and Biermann was able to drag in yet another pot.

Collins Pushing Back

Ryan Biermann has started out as our table captain so far here, raising most of the pots and increasing his stack by over 1 million in chips. This hand, however, saw someone push back.
Biermann opened to 145,000 from late position and it folded around to Michael Collins in the small blind who wasted no time moving all in for 980,000 total. Biermann thought for a brief moment before opting to throw away his cards.
Crncic Pushes Back; Sekhon Falls Out of Lead
Sonny Sekhon opened with a raise to 135,000 from middle position and John Crncic three-bet to 335,000 from his immediate left. The rest of the table folded and Sekhon slid out a call.
The dealer produced a flop that read 
and Sekhon attempted to take charge with a bet of 315,000. Crncic wasted little time coming over the top with a raise to 630,000 and Sekhon went into the tank for over a minute before finally letting go of his hand. With this loss Sekhon has fallen out of the chip lead and has 4.905 million in chips.
