Welcome back to our coverage of the 2012-13 World Series of Poker Circuit River Rock Main Event. A grand total of 1,032 players registered over three starting days with one short-term goal in mind: Make Day 2. 246 of these players were able to attain that goal. Jingjing Liu is our chip leader coming into play today with 266,000. Rounding out the top three in chips are Norman Overdijk (242,000) and John Cracic (231,000).
While those three are the big stacks in the room, there will be several other notable names coming into play today with healthy stacks. Among those to return to the tables are Sean Giesbrecht (204,600), Greg Mueller (180,300), Noah Vaillancourt (172,100), Ashkan Razavi (155,400), Sandra Wong (126,700), Scott Stanko (120,000), and Matt Jarvis (94,600).
While those players thrived during one of the starting flights, other names faltered. This tournament saw many a notable player register only to find no success. Those not returning today include Robert Cheung, Matt Affleck, David "Doc" Sands, Gavin Smith, Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome, Shawn Buchanan, and Jason Koon.
Players will play ten 60-minute levels today before bagging up for the evening. What's more is that the field will certainly burst the money bubble today. The top 108 players will make the money with a min-cash netting a player $2,840.

Tyler Patterson opened the action with a raise to 6,000 only to be three-bet to 15,800 by Ashkan Razavi. Action folded back around to Patterson and he slid out a four bet to 36,000. Razavi thought for a bit before five-betting to 65,000. Patterson announced a six-bet all in and Razavi snapped him off.

Razazi's aces were able to hold and just like that he has jumped into the chip lead of the tournament.

We missed the exact action, but can report that Alex Sutherland was all in before the flop holding against Sandra Wong's pocket kings.
Sutherland found no help on the board and and Wong was able to score the knockout, boosting her to about 185,000 in chips.

We caught up to the table to find the board read . Tyler St. Clair moved out a bet of 37,500 and his lone opponent, Cary Marshall, was pondering his action.
Marshall eventually decided to slide out enough chips to make the call.
"I flopped it," said St. Clair who tabled for a flopped straight. Marshall threw away his cards and St. Clair dragged a pot that brings him to about 185,000.

Mark Bonsack opened to 5,100 from early position and Braden Hall three-bet to 14,500 from two seats over. The rest of the table released their cards and Bonsack slid out a four-bet to 35,100. After shuffling chips for a bit, Hall shrugged the tossed out a call.
The flop was and Bonsack wasted no time shipping all in for 81,200. Hall then went into the tank for well over two minutes.
"I know you're not going to call," said Bonsack to his opponent.
Much to the chagrin of Bonsack, however, Hall announced a call and showed . Bonsack turned over for merely ace-high and was in need of some help.
Fourth street was the and the completed the board, ensuring Bonsack's elimination from this tournament. With this win Hall is now sitting on about 190,000 in chips.

Sean Giesbrecht opened with a raise to 7,500 from middle position. Braden Hall tagged along from the cutoff and the button got out of the way. Greg Mueller looked down at his hand in the small blind and pushed out a three-bet to 22,000.
As Giesbrecht pondered his decision, his phone rang.
"You can't phone a friend!" chimed Mueller from across the table with a smile.
Giesbrecht eventually decided to call and Hall tagged along as well.
The flop brought and Mueller continued with a 45,000 chip bet. Giesbrecht quickly dipped into his stack and came out with a raise to 110,000. Hall released his hand and action was back on Mueller.
"Oooh boy," lamented Mueller. "Alright, I'm all in."
"Call!" yelled Giesbrecht as he tabled for trip deuces. Mueller showed and was in dire need of help. The turn and river were the and the and just like that Mueller was eliminated from the tournament.
Giesbrecht, however, is sitting pretty in the chip lead with 410,000.
