Bjerno Binks Biggest Pot of the Tournament

Wow. Just. Wow. The table in front of us has been action packed all day long, but Suzie Zhao and Nathan Bjerno just took that to a whole new level with a pot of over 1.2 million.

We caught the action on the flop, which read {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}. Nam Le was also in the hand in the small blind, and he checked, as did Zhao. Bjerno made it 33,000 to go, and Le made the call. Zhao was next, and she raised it up to 119,000.

Bjerno tanked for about 90 seconds before he reraised to 210,000. Le quickly folded, and it was back to Zhao. She only took about 10 seconds to move all in for 600,000! Bjerno let out an audible "blah" before putting the chips in and asking "do you have nines?" She did not.

Zhao: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}
Bjerno: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Bjerno was out in front with his bottom set, but Zhao could catch a spade for the victory. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds}, and the river came the {a-Diamonds}. Bjerno yelled out "yes!" when the river was dealt, and after the chips were counted, it was determined that Zhao was eliminated in stunning fashion.

After that hand, Bjerno, who already won a ring here in LA, is our overwhelming chip leader with a ridiculous 1.3 million. With that elimination, we are also down to the final 36 players. Once we lose nine more players, we will have a complete redraw.
