There's No Rhyme or Reason

Benjamin Reason on Day 1.
Benjamin Reason on Day 1.

Jaspreet Panchhi opened for 6,000 only to be met by a three-bet to 16,500 by WSOP Circuit ring winner and Foxwoods fifth-place finisher Ben Reason, who was recently featured in an edition of PokerNews' popular Circuit Grinder series. Panchhi responded by moving all in for 110,000 and Reason snap-called.

Panchhi: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Reason: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

It was a flip, but not after the flop came down {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Panchhi flopped trips to take a commanding lead while Reason was suddenly looking for an eight to reclaim the lead. The {10-Hearts} turn wasn't what he was looking for and neither was the {2-Spades}.

"Nice hand," was all Reason offered as he sent more than half his stack to Panchhi.
