Sent to the Hall

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Just after the break we found Ryan Hall all in before the flop. Hall was racing for his tournament life with {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} against Andrew Rudnik's {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

The flop brought no help to Hall as it fell {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The {10-Hearts} on fourth street also did not help him and he was looking to pair up on the river to stay alive in this tournament. The deck did not oblige, however, as the {4-Clubs} completed the board and eliminated Hall from play. He made his way to the payout desk while Rudnik dragged in the pot.

Weber Doubles Through Renzi

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We caught up with the action on a board of {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to find Matthew Weber move all in. John Renzi called the all in but was flabbergasted when Weber rolled over {K-Spades}{k-Clubs} for kings full of nines. Renzi tried to muck his cards but floor staff made them be tabled because the situation was an all in and a call.

Renzi held {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts} but those quickly went right back into the muck when the {10-Diamonds} finished off the board. Weber scooped up the pot and is now sitting on about 305,000 while Renzi has fallen to 250,000.

Pileggi Busts Roussakis

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Erik Roussakis was all in before the flop for his last roughly 110,000. Larry Pileggi had him covered and the two took the five community cards together.

Pileggi: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Roussakis: {k-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Pileggi secured his lead on the {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Hearts} flop and continued to improve with the {A-Spades} on the turn and the {3-Hearts} on the river. Pileggi's full house was more than enough to secure the victory. He's now sporting 320,000 while Roussakis is making his way to the payout desk.

A Double For Cheney

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

While Erik Roussakis was eliminated on one table, Beverly Cheney was all in and at risk for her tournament life on another. She held {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} against an opponent's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

The flop kept Cheney in the lead but gave her opponent tons of outs when it brought {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} onto the felt. The turn and river bricked out, though, with the {2-Hearts} and the {7-Spades}, ensuring Cheney would double to about 100,000.

Glantz and Christopher Eliminated; Wexler Over 1.3 Million

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Wow. Just wow.

A massive confrontation just happened that saw the demise of Matt Glantz and Tom Christopher at the hands of Jonas Wexler.

Glantz opened with a preflop raise and Christopher flatted from the cutoff. It folded to Wexler's small blind and he made it 43,000. Glantz four-bet shipped all in for about 180,000 and Christopher instantly flat called. Action was back on Wexler and he announced that he was all in over the top which was actually a bet for Christopher's life. He called and the hands were tabled.

Wexler: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Christopher: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Glantz: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The flop was relatively tame as it brought {5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} but the {9-Spades} on the turn gave Christopher outs to make a spade flush. The board finished quickly with the {2-Hearts}, though, and Wexler jumped into the air in jubilation. His elimination of two players has put the field into a total re-draw for the final three tables.

Wexler is now the overwhelming chip lead with about 1.37 million in chips.
