Bonsack Sliding

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, Grant Hinkle raised to 90,000 on the button and Mark Bonsack called from the small blind. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop as well as the {Q-Clubs} turn, and the {10-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Bonsack bet 150,000, and Hinkle thought for about 90 seconds before announcing that he was all in.

Bonsack had 575,000 behind and leaned back in his chair. Eventually he stood and contemplated the decision for well over two minutes. "I fold," he whispered before sliding his cards to the muck.

Waite vs. Hinkle

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Blair Hinkle opened for 90,000 under the gun and Brendan Waite defended from the small blind. Both players checked the {j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, and then Waite check-called a bet of 65,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn.

When the {7-Diamonds} appeared on the river, Waite checked for a third time and ended up snap-calling when Hinkle bet 95,000. Hinkle showed the {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a pair of sixes, but it was no good as Waite tabled the {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Waite Increases Chip Lead

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Bonsack put in a raise to 90,000 under the gun and was called by Brendan Waite on the button. Both blinds released and the flop came {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}. With a Bonsack check, Waite put in bet of 105,000 that was quickly called. The {8-Clubs} peeled off on the turn and Bonsack check-folded to Waite's bet of 255,000.

Waite now sits with around 3,250,000 in chips.

That's a Small Shove

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

"Bonsai" Mark Bonsack opened for 85,000 on the button and was met by an all-in three-bet to 960,000 from Sean Small in the big blind. Bonsack asked for a count and seemed interested, but he ultimately folded after taking for a couple of minutes.

The remaining four players don't seem to be in a rush, oftentimes taking between 15-25 seconds to fold their hands.

Action Has Slowed

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The last fifteen minutes have been mostly preflop raise-and-take-it scenarios. The best action we've seen in awhile was the last pot which was reraised preflop to 280,000 when Blair Hinkle moved all in for 1,500,000 and took it down.

Waite-ing to the River

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

We just saw our first major pot of four-handed action, and it was one that left one player visibly frustrated.

It began when Blair Hinkle opened under the gun for 90,000 and received calls from Brendan Waite and Sean Small in the small and big blinds respectively. All three players checked the {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts} flop, and then Waite led out for 135,000 on the {J-Clubs} turn. Small called, Hinkle folded, and the {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Waite slowed down with a check and Small thought for about 25 seconds before betting 375,000. Waite responded with an all-in check-raise to 1.17 million and Small made a relatively quick call. Waite tabled the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a rivered full house, and Small slammed down his cards, the {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, in frustration. After the chips were pushed, Waite took over the chip lead while Small fell to the short stack.

Waite Wins Modest Pot

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In the last hand of Level 28, Mark Bonsack raised to 65,000 from the small blind, and the big blind, Brendan Waite, made the call. The flope came {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and both players checked. When the {8-Spades} came on the turn, Bonsack's bet of 80,000 was reraised to 280,000 from the short stack of Waite. Bonsack made the call and the {k-Hearts} peeled off on the river. Both players checked and flipped up their cards:

Bonsack: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Waite: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Waite took down the pot with a pair of eights and now sits at 1,200,000 in chips.

Back to the Grind

Level 28 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The four remaining players seemed to playing their cards close to their chest. There haven't been any significant pots since the elimination of Cord Garcia. With that said, there are only eight minutes left in the level, so the price of poker is about to go up.
