Day 1a & Day 1b Set to Begin

The World Series of Poker Circuit presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof Main Event at Horseshoe Southern Indiana kicks off today featuring two starting flights. The first flight will have cards in the air promptly at 11 a.m. EST and they will play nine levels before bagging and tagging. The second flight will be underway at 7 p.m.

The two flights feature a re-entry format where players will be able to play in both flights should they bust Day 1a. Of course, players that bust just once today will be able to re-enter at the start of Day 2.

Last year's final table saw a stacked final table featuring Mark "Pegasus" Smith, Jacob Bazeley and Aaron Massey with Robert Castoire winning the event.

A seat to the National Championship, a WSOPC gold ring and a hefty first place prize will be up for grabs. Last year the event attracted 313 players which created a prize pool of $455,415. Castoire took home $107,022 for his efforts.

The preliminary events have been busy and plenty of Circuit pros have been in and out of the poker room. Follow all the WSOPC action live on Pokernews.com.
