Tough Break for Pozdniakov

Dov Peterfreund doubled for 110,000 with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} against the 7d7h] of Aleksandr Pozdniakov when the board came {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to counterfit the pair of sevens. Soon after the Russian flopped a straight with ace-four and got his stack in against Olaf Kühle's pocket eights for an overpair.

Kühle struck gold with a runner runner full house and that was it for the Russian.

Hellmuth Spirals Out of the Main Event

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

After building his way up to nearly 500,000 earlier in the day, Phil Hellmuth let the young kids get the best of him. Hellmuth lost a few pots here and there and was down to under 100,000. He raised to 20,000 from the hijack and Viktor Kovachev three-bet to 57,000 out of the big blind. Hellmuth announced all-in for 64,000 and Kovachev called.

Hellmuth tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} but was dominated by Kovachev's {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Hellmuth was unable to come from behind. He battled with Kovachev and Jan Mach throughout the day, spewing words at them everytime he lost a pot. Unfortunately, he was unable to turn up any white magic today, hitting the rail in 56th place.

Three Down the Drain

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Lukasz Wasek and Peter Siemund both held ace-king and were unable to beat the pocket tens of Jaromír Háněl.

Just prior to that, Aliaksandr Shylko had three-bet an open raise and called the few chips more that Michal Wilczynski was all in for from the small blind.

"Good timing," Shylko said and turned over his {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} with a sheepish smile on the face. Wilczynski had {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the board of {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} gave Shylko a full house.

Stipsky Doubles Without Getting to Showdown

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

In a four-way limped pot, the flop came {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Michal Stipsky checked from the small blind. Hossein Ensan bet 15,000 and nobody folded.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and Stipsky checked again. Ensan fired again for 60,000 and was called by a player in middle position. The hijack folded and Stipsky shoved all-in for 145,000. Ensan quickly folded and his last opponent went into the tank for a couple minutes. He eventually flashed a four before mucking his hand. Stipsky showed the {k-Diamonds} as he raked in the pot that doubled his stack.

Petleshkov Loses Three-Way All In; Busts Bartos After

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Zbyněk Koreš busted in a three-way all in with {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight and flush draw while Viliyan Petleshkov's set of sixes were no good, as Hubert Baran-Osinski with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} got there with the better flush draw.

Petleshkov took his revenge out on Martin Bartos soon after when the latter was all in and at risk preflop for 210,000 with the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Petleshkov had {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and emerged victorious this time around after a board of {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Magalashvili Hits Seven Figures

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Michael Magalashvili
Michael Magalashvili

Micahel Magalashvili raised to 26,000 from the hijack and was called by Robert Schulz in the cutoff and Olaf Kuhle in the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and the action was checked to Magalashvili who continued for 37,000. Schulz laid his hand down and Kuhle made the call.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Kuhle checked again. Magalashvili fired out another 70,000 and Kuhle continued to call. The river brought the {9-Spades} and Kuhle led out for 133,000. Magalashvili ran a few scenarios through his mind, "Queen-nine? Pocket sevens?" he asked out loud. He didn't take long to throw in a chip to make the call and Kuhle turned over {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Magalashvili showed {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} and let out a sigh of relief as he raked in a pot to climb over 1,000,000 chips.

Toth Sends Stack to Kovachev

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The next two casualties were Laszlo Toth and Markus Kuhnen with big stacks Viktor Kovachev and Michael Magalashvili adding some more chips to their growing towers.

Toth defended his big blind against a raise by Kovachev and check-raised the {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. On the {A-Diamonds} turn, a bet of Toth was called before the Hungarian checked with around 175,000 behind on the {5-Diamonds} river. Kovachev moved all in and Toth called to see Kovachev turn over the {J-Spades}{10-Spades} for a jack-high straight.

Toth briefly flashed his cards, which were apparently the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}, before heading to the rail. Roman Schäfer also departed, reducing the field to the last 46.

Kühle Cools Down

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Stanislaw Miadzel doubled for 109,000 with {A-Spades}{9-Spades} against the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} of Karel Kovarik on the board of {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Dov Peterfreund was also fortunate to double up, though in more spectacular fashion. Down to 114,000, he shoved from the cutoff and Olaf Kühle called in the small blind with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Peterfreund's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} got there thanks to a board of {K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Shylko Doubles Through Cetindag

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Tezer Cetindag
Tezer Cetindag

Tezer Cetindag defended his big blind and checked the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Aliaksandr Shylko bet 38,000 and Cetindag check-raised to 105,000, which sent Shylko into the think tank. After two minutes, he moved all in and Cetindag asked for a count. The shove was for 297,000 and Cetindag tank-called after an equally long time of consideration.

Aliaksandr Shylko: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Tezer Cetindag: {6-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {10-Spades} turn was a blank, but Shylko indeed got there on the {A-Diamonds} river for the better two pair.
