Martin Kabrhel Plays the Bubble

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

While hand for hand was going on Martin Kabrhel was certainly enjoying the experience even if his table mates weren’t too impressed. He was taking his time and repeatedly asking to see how many chips his opponents had. It was clearly irritating one or two and amusing some others. But it is not Kabrhel’s job to make friends. Every time action was folded to Kabrhel he min-raised and navigated from there.

Just before the bubble burst Kabrhel opened for 12,000 and picked up one late position caller.

The flop was {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Kabrhel continued for a paltry 12,000 and his opponent called.

The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Kabrhel bet 16,000 this time and once more got a call.

The {3-Hearts} was the river card and Kabrhel spent quite some time assembling a bet which he eventually toppled across the table. The dealer pulled it together and this time the bet was a big 111,000. His opponent folded.

We Three Queens

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Lukasz Wasek checked it over to Athanasios Zachros on an intriguing flop of {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Zachros bet 42,000 and Wasek called.

The turn card was the {3-Clubs} and a check again from Wasek saw Zachros move all in for around 200,000.

Wasek looked a combination of pained, tired, confused and curious. He gave it a minutes thought before looking back at his cards and giving it up.

Neither player showed their hand.

Seat Open

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Since the bubble burst around 30 minutes ago there has been the usual loosening of starting hand requirements and a flurry of bust outs. As of right now they have 56 left which is the next pay jump to €4,085.

The jump after that is 39th for €4,750.

Ngoc Bui Hai Eliminates Two Players and Moves Up Over One Million Chips

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A player opened to 16,000 from early position. Ngoc Bui Hai called and it folded to Yehuda Cohen in the cutoff who moved all in for 70,000. Gerhard Schubert was in the big blind and four-bet all in for 467,000. The original raiser folded and after some consideration, Bui Hai called.

Bui Hai: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Cohen: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Schubert: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Cohen was eliminated. Bui Hai covered Schubert by only 12,000 chips and Schubert was eliminated as well, meaning Bui Hai is the first player up over 1,000,000 in chips.

Aces For Bui Hai

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

If you’re the big stack at the table you could say you have earned the right to play any two cards and put pressure on your opponents. After all you’re not going broke in one hand.

Ngoc Bui Hai opened from under the gun and picked up a solitary caller from the big blind.

The flop was {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} and it was checked to Bui Hai who casually C-bet for 61,000 and got a quick fold.

A pained expression crossed the chip leader’s face as he threw his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} face up on the table.

Break Time

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
