Ameristar St. Charles
Ameristar St. Charles

The second of two starting flights in Event #10: $1,700 Main Event at the Ameristar Casino (St. Charles) kick-off at 11 a.m. today. Day 1a pulled in a total of 156 runners but at the end of the day, only 25 survived.

Bagging the lead was HB Sablotney, who ended the night with 377,000. He was spotted early in the day collecting chips and gained a considerable amount as play progressed throughout the night.

Following close behind Sablotney was WPT champ Ravi Raghavan (374,000), with Zackary Estes (340,000), Jeffery Trudeau Jr. (303,000), and Edward 'EDUB' Dixon (293,000) rounding out the top fives stacks.

Day 1b kicks off at 11 a.m. local time, where players will start with 30,000 in chips and blinds will be 100/100 with big blind antes beginning in Level 2 (100/100). There will be 15-minute breaks after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9. Registration will remain open until the beginning of Level 13 allowing players one re-entry until then.

Yesterday's starting flight played through 16 levels, but did end within the last five hands of the night as sixteen percent of the field was reached. Today is scheduled to play through 16 levels unless directed else wise by the tournament director.

The first 15 levels will have 40-minutes blinds with level 16 lasting 60-minutes. Once the final level is completed, all remaining players will bag up for the night and will combine with Day 1a players for Day 2 action on Sunday, September 8th at noon.
