Stefanski's River Boat Blasts Hole in Lauer's Stack

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Four players were on the turn of a board that read {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Dave Stefanski bet 14,000, Andrew Lauer called and the other two players in the hand got out of the way.

The river was the {7-Clubs} to pair the board. Stefanski put together some chips and put out a bet of 51,500. Lauer called after a about fifteen seconds.

Stefanski tabled the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for the full boat. "Good river" said Lauer as he mucked his hand to tilt the table's chips in favor of Stefanski.

Snead Pays Stefanski's Nut Flush, But Avoids Larger Damage

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river of a board that read {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Dave Stefanski bet about 45,000 into a pot of around the same size. Paul Snead thought for about ten seconds before calling with some trepidation.

Stefanski showed the hammer with the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, while Snead turned over the {j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a lesser flush.

Several players at the table complimented Snead on only calling rather than even considering a raise and hence losing the minimum.

"I just knew he had it" said Snead as he saw more of his stack cut away to continue his downward trajectory.
