Huge Numbers Expected as Flight B of the WSOPc Cherokee Main Event Kicks Off

Large field in Cherokee
Large field in Cherokee

Today marks the start of Flight B of the WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee Event 10: $1700 Main Event. Flight A attracted 360 entries and played all the way down until 59 players remained. A busy Saturday at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is anticipated as Flight B is expected to be significantly larger than Flight A. Many players who busted on their first chance, are likely to give it another shot and join the several newcomers.

All players have a benchmark to chase down, the 504,000 chip stack that was bagged by Brad Albrinck in Flight A. As well as the four other players who finished with above 400,000 including Carlos Loving (446,000), Kobie Wilkerson (441,000), Scott Drobes (425,000) and Scott Sanders (404,000)

Ultimately though, the goal of the day is to finish the night with chips, which will end after the completion of level 16 or until 16% of the field remains. It will be a tight call as Flight A played down until they were just one elimination away from 16% remaining.

Flight B will follow the same format as Flight A, beginning at 11 a.m. local time and players having until the start of level 13 to register with the option of one re-entry. The first 15 levels are 40 minutes in length with breaks coming every three levels, and an hour dinner break after level 9 roughly at 5:30 p.m.
