The Kicker Goes to Sheaves

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Three players headed to a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} with around 1,500 in the middle. The big blind led out for 600 and only Warren Sheaves called from the hijack.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and the big blind checked to Sheaves who tossed in a bet of 1,000. His opponent called and the {10-Spades} completed the board. Both players knuckled the table and the big blind showed {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for two pair. Sheaves held {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the same two pair but his ace-kicker awarded him the pot.

Mikhaylov Gets a Fold from Sitton

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Hank Sitton raised it up from under the gun and Dmitry Mikhaylov re-raised from the cutoff. Sitton called and the two players went heads-up to a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Sitton check-called a bet of 1,100 from Mikhaylov and the {6-Spades} paired the board on the turn. Both players checked and the {10-Hearts} hit the river. Sitton checked for the third time and Mikhaylov threw in another bet of 1,100. Sitton thought for a brief moment but decided to lay his hand down.
