Coulombe Gets Turn Fold

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

There was 2,200 in the pot on a board of {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Mike Harvey had a bet of 1,600 out in front of him from middle position. Action was on Ben Coulombe, who was in the cutoff and in the tank.

After about 40 seconds, Coulombe raised to 5,500. Harvey now found himself with a decision to make, and it proved to be a tough one as he spent about two minutes thinking over everything. With several T5,000 chips in one hand and his cards in the other, he took his cards and sent them forward, giving up contention as Coulombe took down the pot.

Rodriguez Fires Three

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Noel Rodriguez was on the button and opened to 300 upon action being folded to him. Mike Harvey defended his big blind to take action heads up to a flop of {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Harvey checked to Rodriguez, who made a continuation-bet of 300. Harvey called.

The turn came {j-Spades} and Harvey checked again. Rodriguez continued with another bet of 900 and Harvey threw in a call. The river fell {a-Spades} and Harvey checked once more. Rodriguez announced a bet of 2,300 as he threw in chips and Harvey thought for a few seconds before sending his cards to the muck.

Lancaster Wins Two

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Mike Lancaster
Mike Lancaster

Hand #1:

Mike Lancaster saw action folded to him in the small blind and he completed. His opponent in the big blind checked behind and the two went to a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Both players checked, bringing the turn {5-Clubs}. Lancaster bet 300 and his opponent called. The river came {a-Spades} and both players checked to take the hand to showdown.

"Eight," said Lancaster as he showed {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. His opponent mucked.

Hand #2:

On the following hand, Lancaster was on the button and action folded to him again. He raised to 300 and the small blind, his opponent from the previous hand, put in a three-bet to 1,100. Lancaster called. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and the small blind made a continuation-bet of 800. Lawrence called.

The turn came {6-Clubs} and Lancaster's opponent checked. He fired 2,200 into the middle and his opponent quickly folded, resulting in two consecutive pots to chip up a bit after a few early hits to his stack.

There was around 1,800 in the pot on the turn with a board of {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Action was three ways between Noel Rodriguez in middle position, Abdulaziz Alaquil in the cutoff, and Mike Harvey, who was in the small blind.

Harvey fired out 1,000 and Rodriguez called. Alaquil folded and the dealer shipped Harvey the pot.

"Time out!" said Harvey, pointing out that Rodriguez had called. The dealer took back the pot, apologizing and bringing the river {7-Hearts}.

Harvey bet another 2,000 and Rodriguez called, exclaiming that he was good if he had a nine.

Harvey confirmed his nine, showing {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} as Rodriguez flashed him a card en route to sending his hand to the muck.

Markholt Sends Ross to the Rail

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Lee Markholt
Lee Markholt

With the board showing {9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, Mrityunjay Jha checked from under the gun. Eli Ross bet 5,600 from middle position, and Lee Markholt raised to 13,000 on the button.

Jha folded, and Ross tanked for a few moments before going all in over the top. Markholt called.

Eli Ross: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Lee Markholt: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Ross saw the he was on the wrong end of a straight-over-straight cooler, and the {7-Hearts} river brought no help. Ross' first entry came to an early end, while Markholt now sits on double the starting stack as Level 3 plays on.
