Day 1a of the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino $1,700 Main Event Begin at Noon
The World Series of Poker Circuit Bicycle Casino $1,700 Main Event kicks off today, with the first of two opening day flights set to begin at Noon at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California. The current stop marks the second time the WSOP Circuit has come through the legendary Los Angeles area venue in 2019.
Players will begin with 30,000 starting chips, and Day 1a is scheduled to play through 15 40-minute levels before wrapping up for the night. All players all allowed one re-entry per flight, and late registration is available up through the beginning of Level 13.
The blinds begin at 100/100, with a big blind ante kicking in at Level 2. Those blind/ante levels will go up to 2000/3000/3000 at Level 15, the last level of play on Day 1.
The ultimate prize on the line is the WSOP Circuit ring, and the right to be called the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Main Event champion. The eventual winner also receives entry into the WSOP National Championship.
The previous WSOP Circuit stop at the Bicycle, in March 2019, drew 678 entries and paid out $1,027,170 total. Sean Yu took home the championship, winning his seventh WSOP Circuit ring and taking home $210,585.
Notable players in attendance so far in earlier events at this festival include Ian Steinman and Carol Fuchs, each of whom has already won a ring in this series."Miami" John Cernuto, Scott Stewart and Alan Myerson are just a few of the other names that have already cashed at the current WSOP Bicycle stop.
Today's action is the first of two Day 1 flights, with Day 1b scheduled for Monday. The survivors of Day 1a and Day 1b will come back as a combined field for Day 2 Tuesday. Day 3 commences on Wednesday, and the tournament will play down to a champion.
