Thomas Emerson Bags the Chip Lead on Day 1b of the WSOP Circuit Bicycle $1,700 Main Event

The opening day flights are complete in the WSOP Circuit Bicycle $1,700 Main Event. A total of 296 entries made it to the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California, for Day 1b, with 63 players surviving to bag chips by the end of the night.

At the conclusion of the night, Thomas Emerson came away with the chip lead, coming away with 391,000 chips. Closely following on the Day 1b chip leaderboard are Fadi Hamad (361,000), and John Canter (303,000).

With 63 Day 1b survivors, along with the 37 players who made it through Day 1a, a total of 100 players will return to the Bicycle for Day 2. The Day 2 restart kicks off at Noon Tuesday, and play will begin at Level 16, with the blinds at 2000/4000/4000.

Some of the other notable names making it through on Day 1b included Marco Johnson (274,000), Sandeep Pulusani (203,000), Mohsin Charania (170,000) and Bill Klein (115,000).

Other players that played Day 1b, but didn't make it to bagging, included Phil Laak, Nipun Java, Kevin Song, Alex Greenblatt, Craig Varnell, and Upeshka de Silva.

The 100 total players will come back Tuesday and play 10 one-hour levels, and the field that remains at the end of the night will return for Day 3 Wednesday, and play down to a winner. The final table will be streamed on Live at the Bike.
