Helstern Bets Turn, Gets Fold

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The under-the-gun player bet 1,800, and Jordan Helstern called on the big blind.

Both players checked the {q-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop. The turn came {3-Diamonds}, Helstern bet 3,200, and the early position player folded.

"Show the royal flush," said Jared Shipley, who wasn't involved in the hand. Helstern didn't oblige, but he did rake in the small pot.

Solis Ships

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

The cutoff player limped, the button raised to 1,800, and Stan Solis called in the big blind. The original limper also called.

Action checked to the button, who bet 2,500 on the {4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. Both opponents called.

Action checked to the button again on the {5-Diamonds} turn, who put out another bet for 7,000. Solis called, and the cutoff folded.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs} river, and Solis showed down {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} and took down the pot.

Smith Hits "Dirty River" on Georato

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Robert Georato opened to 1,300 from the cutoff, and got a call from Mitchell Smith on the button, as well as the player on the big blind.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}, and action checked to Georato, who bet 1,600. Smith called, and the big blind folded.

Georaro bet 3,400 on the {5-Diamonds} turn, and Smith called. The river fell {a-Hearts}, and both players checked.

Smith turned over {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, with the river ace giving him trips and allowing him to get the better of Georato's {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Players at the table commented that the final ace was a "dirty river" as Smith collected the pot.
