Stan Yang Captures PLO Gold Ring
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is at the Horseshoe Baltimore to live report both the $1,700 Main Event and $3,250 High Roller; however, that is just one of more than a dozen gold ring events that have taken place over the past week. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.
Event #6: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha had 76 runners and offered up a $39,140 prize pool. That was paid out to the top 12 players including Erik Green (10th - $856), Juan Hope (11th - $856), and Michael Connelly (12th - $856).
The last player standing wound up being 46-year-old Stan Yang of Reston, Virginia, who took down a $12,112 top prize and his first ring. Meanwhile, Event #2: $400 NLH champ Patrick Lacey finished as runner-up for $7,487, which put him back in the lead in the race for Horseshoe Baltimore Casino Champ.
