Coming out on top was 49-year-old William Pollard of Milledgeville, Georgia, who took home $8,068 and his first gold ring.
“They were all very good players,” he said of his final table competion. “I’m not a huge PLO player, I play mostly hold’em.”
Regarding his heads-up match against Ben Thomas, he added: “He was ahead quite a bit. But I got lucky in my first double up and kind of grinded it down from there.”
