PokerNews is in town to live report the $1,700 Main Event here at the World Series of Poker Circuit IP Biloxi, but that is just one of the gold ring events that will have played out by the end of the series.

Event #6: $400 Pot-Limit Omaha attracted 79 entries and offered up a $26,070 prize pool to the top 12 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Melisa Singh (10th - $570), David Prociak (11th - $570), and Matthew Silva (12th - $570).

Coming out on top was 49-year-old William Pollard of Milledgeville, Georgia, who took home $8,068 and his first gold ring.

“They were all very good players,” he said of his final table competion. “I’m not a huge PLO player, I play mostly hold’em.”

Regarding his heads-up match against Ben Thomas, he added: “He was ahead quite a bit. But I got lucky in my first double up and kind of grinded it down from there.”
