Day 1b of the $1,700 Horseshoe Hammond Main Event accumulated a total of 588 entries adding to the 475 entries on Day 1a for a combined total of 1063 entries. 94 players advanced in Day 1a and 114 advanced in Day 1b for a total of 208 returning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 20th.

The day was action-packed from the get-go and the top three stacks were all very close, with Ryan Lally bagging the chiplead with 448,000 in chips. Right behind him are both Gregory Stellatos and Sachin Chopra tied with 442,500.

Ryan Lally got a decent portion of his chips in the middle of the day eliminating Marshall White calling a turn shove with a pair of eights that held.

Gregory Stellatos got a very good start to the day picking up aces against kings and queens in a three-way all-in and holding to eliminate both of the opponents.

Some other notables to survive to Day 2 with big stacks were Aram Zobian with 326,000, Aaron Massey with 167,500, Eric Salazar with 134,500 and Ryan Jones who bagged 104,000

The majority of players did not find a bag at the end of the night though, being eliminate throughout. Those of who include Michael Wang, Kelly Minkin, Javier Zarco, Nick Pupillo and Kevin Maahs.

The 114 remaining will join the 94 players who survived on Day 1a for a total of 208 returning to the felt for the battle to win the $272,322 and a WSOPC Gold Ring on Day 2 at 11am on Sunday.
