Mercer Turns a Flush

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Steve Buell raised in early position to 9,000, Bradley Mercer called next to act and Dragon Lunic called on the button before the blinds got out of the way.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Buell continued for 14,000 which Mercer called and Lunic folded to.

The {7-Diamonds} on the turn got checked through to see the {3-Spades} on the river where Buell led out for 7,000 and after a short pause Mercer raised to 27,000. Buell took a few moments before throwing in the chips to call and being shown the bad news when Mercer tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a flush on the turn.

Aces vs Kings for Johnson

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

After a series of raises preflop Kevin Johnson was all-in preflop and at risk for his tournament life against Brian Brookshire.

Brian Brookshire: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Kevin Johnson: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Johnson had Brookshire dominated and the flop came {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} giving him a full house and the turn {7-Spades} left Brookshire drawing dead and the dealer put out the {j-Clubs} on the river as a formality.

Moses Folds Then Talks Trash

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
David Moses
David Moses

Action was picked up on the turn on a board that read {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. David Moses bet 20,000. Jordan Jayne raised to 70,000 after about 10 seconds. Moses thought for a bit before folding {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} face up.

"You can keep being cute but you're not going to win a battle with a guy who has a higher IQ than you" said Moses to Jayne after folding. He continued to talk some trash about the hand to Jayne as Jayne stacked his chips.

The temperature at the table seems to be rising as tablemates Andrew Ostapchenko and Gregory Himmelbrand chimed in asking Moses why he was telling his strategy out loud and question why Moses would fold if he was so sure of where Jayne was at.
