Three Figures

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The tournament just crossed the 100 entries. There are a total of 102 players registered into Day 1A and there have already been two eliminations. Registration is still open until the end of level nine and there is another starting flight tomorrow, starting at 1 p.m. local time.

Algarra and G Chop it Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

It folded to Fernando G in the cutoff and he raised to 450. The only player that called was big blind David Algarra.

The flop fell {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Algarra check-called a bet of 325 from his opponent. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and both players checked. The checked again on the {6-Spades} river and they opened up their cards.

Algarra showed {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and G showed his {7-Spades}. Then he opened up the {2-Spades} and he showed that he opened the action with a raise preflop holding seven-deuce. They chopped the pot and both earned 50 each, chopping up the small blind.

Zaki Gets Value With a Flush

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

The complete board was already on the table and the cards were {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. There was about 7,000 in the middle when Hicham Zaki put in a bet of 4,500 from the under-the-gun position. His opponent sat on the button and thought about it for a while before making the call.

Zaki opened up {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for the second-nut flush and that was more than enough to take down the pot.

Bonnardot Tank-Folds

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Benjamin Bonnardot raised from early position and he was called by the other four players at the five-handed table.

The flop was {Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and it checked around to Simo Boudarbala on the button. He took over the betting lead with a bet of 1,700 and the only player that called was initial-raiser Bonnardot.

The turn was the {A-Spades} and Bonnardot check-called a bet of 3,400 from Boudarbala. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Bonnardot checked again. Boudarbala put in a big bet of 11,000 on the river and Bonnardot disappeared in the tank for multiple minutes.

He ended up folding his cards and the pot was awarded to Boudarbala.

Legrand Makes Big Call

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Patrick Legrand raised from the cutoff to 300 and Lucien Cohen three-bet from the button to 850. The player in the small blind called and the big blind got out of the way. Legrand called as well and they went three-way to the flop.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The turn was the {6-Spades} and it checked to Cohen on the button. He decided to take a stab at it and he fired a pot-sized bet of 2,650. The player in the small blind folded rather quickly but Legrand called.

The {7-Clubs} river completed the board and Legrand checked again. Cohen put in a sizeable bet of 5,250 and Legrand went into the tank. He called after a while and took down the pot when he showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Cohen mucked.
