Canarinho Eliminates Zeligman

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The under-the-gun player had raised to 5,000 and Orey Canarinho three-bet to 13,000 from middle position. Alexander Zeligman moved all in from the button as he slid his last 14,000 forward. The initial raiser folded and Canarinho made a quick call.

Alexander Zeligman: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Orey Canarinho: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

The board fell {3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and both players ended up with a full house, although Canarinho his boat was a bit better. Zeligman got eliminated from the tournament.

Welcome to the coverage of Day 2 of the 15,000 (€1,350) WSOP International Circuit Marrakech Main Event. A total of 188 players out of 544 entries will return to Casino de Marrakech in the Es Saadi Resort - Palace to continue battling for the coveted gold WSOP Circuit ring. Former November Niner Fernando Pons holds the overall chip lead after bagging 282,900 chips on Day 1B. Pons is closely followed by Anas Tadini (264,000) and Stephane Dossetto (252,600). Day 1A chip leader Achille Voltolina sits in fourth place with 224,700.

Other notable players making it through to Day 2 include Michiel Brosky (179,200), Sonny Franco (173,500), Barny Boatman (161,000), Kamel Atoui (155,000), Serdar Demircan (90,000), Isabelle Pellegrino (74,000), and WSOP Circuit ring winner Evangelos Bechrakis (43,900).

The record-breaking WSOP Circuit field attracted a total of 350 players on Day 1B, which made the total number of entries rise up to 545. The previous biggest WSOP Circuit Main Event held in Marrakech was held in 2017 and had 511 players. There were 175 reentries made in the unlimited reentry Main Event this year. That makes up for a total of 369 unique players who entered the tournament.

The plan for today is to play ten one-hour levels. They will start in level 13 with blinds being 1,000/2,000 and a 300 running ante. Levels will be 60-minutes long, as opposed to the 45-minute levels on Day 1. PokerNews will be on the floor to provide updates from the first hand to the last hand.
