The 2020 GGPoker World Series of Poker (WSOP) Winter Online Circuit has crowned the third champion and Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov emerged victorious in Event #1 BIG $50 after defeating "QY707" in a short-lived heads-up duel. A huge field of 31,291 emerged in the first multi-flight event, which created a prize pool of $1,439,386 and Savenkov earned the lion's share worth $168,810.

Savenkov entered the nine-handed final table as the chip leader and it was no surprise that he faced "QY707" in heads-up, who was second in chips when the action resumed. The first recorded live cashes of the Russian date back to 2017 and with this victory, he has nearly doubled his known earnings on the live poker circuit and the WSOP Online tournaments on GGPoker.

It was the ninth WSOP cash of Savenkov, who has three scores during the 2019/20 International Circuit at Casino Sochi to his name. His biggest career result came back in 2018 at the EPT Sochi for $18,507 but that has now been topped nearly ten-fold.

The only other known finalist Otto "D00MSWITCHER" Lemke finished in third place and his exit paved the way for Savenkov's victory, who had accumulated all the chips after some two hours and five minutes on the final table.

The Action of the Final Day

With several short stacks among the nine contenders, it didn't take long to reduce the field. With 25 hands played during each level on the final table, there was no casualty in the first level but the floodgates opened soon after when the action resumed. ""PhD_Don"" came up short with ace-queen against the queen-jack suited of "QY707" and just over half an hour later, there were just three contenders still in the mix.

Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov cracked the kings of "btn_clicking!" with ace-nine suited and the dominated ace of "incloudzly" found no help a few minutes later against Otto "D00MSWITCHER" Lemke. "FreddieKadur" and "Adam Bonk" then sent their chips over to "QY707" and Savenkov dispatched fellow Russian player "party_maker1".

Lemke had doubled twice through Savenkov to take over the lead temporarily but then called a limp-jam by Savenkov at the wrong time to see his nines drawing dead on the turn when facing pocket jacks. Heads-up play lasted a mere nine minutes and Savenkov headed into the decisive showdown with a dominating pair of tens, which held against the pocket eights of "QY707" to secure his victory.

Three WSOP Circuit ring winners have been determined so far and a fourth will follow later tonight in WSOPC #4: $800 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em, which is already close to the final table.

QY707 Eliminated in 2nd Place

The action kicked off with a raise by "QY707" and Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov then three-bet to more than 8.2 million. What followed was the four-bet jam by "QY707" and Savenkov made the call after brief consideration.

"QY707": {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Savenkov held the superior pair and there was no additional sweat on a board of {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} to eliminate China's "QY707" in second place for $120,745. Savenkov has earned his first WSOP Circuit ring and the top prize of $168,810, which nearly doubles his recorded live and WSOP online cashes to date.

Otto Lemke eliminated in 3rd place

Otto "D00MSWITCHER" Lemke three-bet jammed into a min-raise by "QY707" and got through with it to then face a button limp by Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov. Lemke raised to 5.64 million in the small blind with some 39.6 million behind and Savenkov moved all-in with the slightly superior stack.

Lemke gave it some thought and called without using his remaining time bank.

Otto "D00MSWITCHER" Lemke: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Lemke was in trouble and the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop made things worse. He was drawing dead after the {q-Diamonds} turn and the {4-Diamonds} river became a formality. Lemke has been eliminated in 3rd place and receives $86,745 for the efforts.

The action folded to Russia's "party_maker1" in the small blind and they jammed for just over 10.5 million. Only Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov was left to act and he made the call with the far superior stack.

"party_maker1": {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Aleksey "ImLuckPads" Savenkov: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Along with one overcard, "party_maker1" also picked up a gutshot until the {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} turn. However, the {k-Hearts} river bricked and that sent them out in 4th place for $61,780.

The action folded to chip leader "QY707" in the small blind and they raised to 9.6 million. "Adam Bonk" once again used his "one time" emoji and called all-in for the 7,227,979 they had behind in the big blind.

"Adam Bonk": {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
"QY707": {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

"Adam Bonk" was trailing and failed to pick up any help on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board, which gave "QY707" a pair of eights. And just like that, the field was down to the final four as "Adam Bonk" received $44,191.
