Recent Eliminations Part V

Level 18 : 1,750/3,500, 0 ante

The field races towards the money bubble and fewer than 190 players remain. Below are some of those that busted without anything to show for.

Zawadzki Busts Matakis

Level 18 : 1,750/3,500, 0 ante
Matakis vs Zawadzki
Matakis vs Zawadzki

Ian "potamophobia" Matakis opened to 12,250 and then called the three-bet to 42,000 by Mikolaj "HORN3T" Zawadzki on the button, which led to the {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Matakis got the last crumbs in and was called.

Ian "potamophobia" Matakis: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Mikolaj "HORN3T" Zawadzki: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Zawadzki had the wheel already and there was no miracle for Matakis on the {3-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river.

Pires Above Half a Million

Level 18 : 1,750/3,500, 0 ante
Pires vs yammm
Pires vs yammm

In a battle big blind versus under the gun, Eduardo Pires took on "yammm" as the pot on the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} turned out to be for 166,802 in total.

"yammm": {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Eduardo Pires: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}

"yammm" had a huge double draw but the {4-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river sent the pot to Pires, who then won another hand with a king-high straight to jump above half a million in chips.

Ladva Eliminated by Mighall

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Ladva vs Mighall
Ladva vs Mighall

A short-stacked Ottomar Ladva got it in from the small blind and Phillip "tazmania888" Mighall looked him up from the big blind to create a pot worth 65,436.

Ottomar Ladva: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Phillip "tazmania888" Mighall: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Mighall turned broadway, then rivered the nut flush for good measure.

Eldabach Takes Two Hits

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Dorel "DorelEl" Eldabach called the shove of "gr8at8ight" on the {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop and tabled the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} in showdown.

His opponent had {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and got there on the {2-Spades} turn and {k-Diamonds} river.

Eldabach then attempted to bluff "omaha4karma" by betting the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} river for 27,150 only to get called by {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for kings up. Eldabach only had {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the busted nut flush draw.

Trio At The Top

Level 17 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Ilya "pokanuktus" Pavlov soared to the top of the leaderboard after knocking out two players before his table broke, most notably cracking aces with kings and nines. But he was soon joined by the Brazilians Eduardo Pires and Diego "TeaLover" Falcone, who are within a few big blinds from Pavlov.

Sorokhin Hits the Rail

Level 16 : 1,250/2,500, 0 ante

Former big stack Andrei "BS4K" Sorokin has been spotted on the rail. In his final hand of the tournament, he clashed in an all-Russian duel with online casino streamer "danludan" when they got it in after the {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop.

Andrei "BS4K" Sorokin: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
"danludan": {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The {k-Spades} turn gave Sorokhin more outs but he missed them on the {10-Spades} river.
