Notable Early Casualties

Level 2 : 125/250, 30 ante

Some 10 players have been eliminated thus far and the following notables were among them.

Sokoloff Busts "macc23"

Level 2 : 125/250, 30 ante
macc23 eliminated
macc23 eliminated

The table broke right after the hand was over but what has transpired is the fact that "macc23" bowed out in a battle of Canadians when facing off with Paul "yamsnutskale" Sokoloff. They got it in after the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Clubs} turn and "macc23" was drawing dead with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, as Sokoloff had him crushed with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

A meaningless {5-Hearts} further improved Sokoloff to aces full.

Journo Eliminated on First Bullet

Level 2 : 125/250, 30 ante

Yonathan "ninoboys80" Journo: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Dmitry "Flying Pile" Grinenko: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
"Mojito6": {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Followng a raise to 600 by "HLXDERRRR" and a call by Francois Billard, George Wolff three-bet to 3,200 in the big blind and "HLXDERRRR" was the only caller. Wolff led the {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop for 1,740 and called the shove of his opponent instantly.

"HLXDERRRR": {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
George Wolff: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {9-Clubs} turn and {k-Clubs} river were blanks and Wolff kicked off the event with a double stack.

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Yonathan "ninoboys80" Journo opened to 500 in the cutoff and was called by "LazyOwl" in the big blind. Journo faced a check-raise to 1,875 on the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and reraised to 4,375 in order to pick up a call.
