Hanauer's King-High is Good

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Derek Hanauer opened to 2,200 from the hijack, and the big blind called.

The big blind check-called a 1,400 bet from Hanauer on the {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop.

Both players then checked the {9-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river, and Hanauer's {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} king-high was the winner, with his opponent showing {q-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Holloway Felts Moncek, Nearing Chip Lead

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Chad Holloway raised to 2,600 from middle position, and Michael Moncek three-bet to 8,000 from the cutoff. Holloway called.

Holloway check-called a bet of 6,000 from Moncek on a {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and the {3-Clubs} fell on the turn. Holloway checked, and Moncek bet 16,000. Holloway called again.

Holloway checked a third time on the {8-Hearts} river, and Moncek emptied the clip with an all-in shove for 32,100. Holloway tanked for a minute, then called. Moncek could only muster {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for ace-high, while Holloway flipped over {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and took down the big pot, while eliminating Moncek.

Sladek Doubles Through Meister

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Todd Sladek opened from the hijack, Jeremy Meister three-bet to 9,000 from the cutoff, and Sladek called.

The flop came {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Sladek checked, Meister bet 14,000, Sladek shoved, and Meister called.

Todd Sladek: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Brandon Meister: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Sladek's set of eights stayed ahead through the {5-Diamonds} turn and {k-Spades} river, and in the aftermath both players have virtually even stacks as Level 11 continues.

Pappas Pops Pollard

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

George Pappas raised to 3,000 from the cutoff, and was called by Bill Pollard in the small blind and Kevin Maahs in the big blind.

Pollard jammed for 16,300 on the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop, Maahs folded, and Pappas called.

Bill Pollard: {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
George Pappas: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

Both players held draws, but Pappas would win the hand with king-high after the {9-Diamonds} turn and {j-Diamonds} river failed to improve either player.

Hill Topples Younan

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jeffrey Hill limped in from under the gun, and Michael Younan jammed for 21,400 from the small blind. Hill called.

Michael Younan: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Jeffrey Hill: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Hill took a huge lead on the {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, but his set became vulnerable when the {7-Hearts} turn gave Younan an up-and-down straight draw. The {4-Hearts} river bricked off, and Hill scored the knockout.

Rogowski Gets Broadway Paid

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} on the board, Andy Rogowski bet 25,000 from the hijack on a {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} board, into a 30,000 pot.

Rogowski's opponent, on the button, went deep into the tank, with the floor eventually coming over to count down the clock. With his time being counted down, the opponent wondered out loud about the possibility of Rogowski holding a turned set of kings.

A few seconds later, the button made the call, but Rogowski showed him the bad news, tabling {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a turned broadway straight. The button's {j-Clubs}{j-} set of jacks was no good, sending Rogowski the pot.

Bazeley Doubles, Kim Does Not

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

George Pappas raised to 3,000 from middle position, and two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Jake Bazeley three-bet shoved for 22,800 on the button. Pappas called.

Jake Bazeley: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
George Pappas: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Pappas couldn't catch a nine on the {3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Spades} board, and Bazeley doubled up.

Meanwhile, at another table, Eric Kim ran out of chips and hit the rail.
