Holevas Doubles Up and Then Some

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jasper May bet 4,500 from the big blind on a {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop, Andrew Holevas raised all in to 11,300 from early position, David To re-shoved to 37,000 on the direct left, and May tanked briefly, then folded.

Andrew Holevas: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
David To: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Holevas set of jacks stayed ahead through the {8-Clubs} turn and {q-Diamonds} river, and all three players are still in the running as the first break of the day approaches.

Yim Hits Set, Gets Paid on the River

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

With {4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} on the board, the small blind checked, and Hae Kim bet 10,000 into a 35,000 pot from the big blind.

The small blind contemplated for several moments, then made the call. Kim's {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} was the winner, and after collecting the pot Kim is approaching the 100k-chip mark.

Langton Ships a Big One

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a {k-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board, a player checked in middle position, as did a player in the cutoff. James Langton bet 4,000 from the button into a pot of 7,000, and both of his opponents called.

The {2-Hearts} hit the river, and the middle-position player checked again. The cutoff bet 5,000, and Langton quickly called. The middle-position player tanked for a minute, then made the call as well. The cutoff tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, but Langton held {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for aces and fours, while the middle position player mucked.

Miller Going For Rings at Hammond in Three Straight Years

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Bryant Miller, who own four WSOP Circuit rings to his name, has found a ring in each of the last two years here at Horseshoe Hammond. In October of 2018, he took down Event #4: $600 No-Limit Hold'em for $23,918, then followed that up last year with a win in Event #10: $1,125 No-Limit Hold'em in February for $33,300.

In a recent hand, Darryl Ronconi checked a {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} board over to Miller, who bet 12,000 into a pot of 19,100 from the cutoff. Ronconi tanked for a minute, counting down his remaining 20,000 in chips, before settling on a fold.

Lockwood Gets it In

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante

Umut Ozturk checked a {9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop from the big blind, as did a player in the hijack. Sean Lockwood bet 3,000 from the button, and Ozturk check-raised to 8,000. The hijack folded and Lockwood called.

Ozturk bet 13,500 on the {k-Diamonds} turn, and Lockwood quickly pushed his remaining 24,700 in the middle. Ozturk folded, and the table tried to get Lockwood to show that he had turned a king, but Lockwood simply mucked.

Shahid's Call is Correct

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante
Shah Shahid
Shah Shahid

Facing an early-position open to 400, Shah Shahid three-bet to 1,200, got three cold callers, and the orignal raiser also called.

The five players went to the {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, and all five checked.

Action checked to Shahid on the {7-Spades} turn, Shahid bet 2,500, and only the cutoff called.

Shahid checked the {3-Hearts} river, the cutoff bet 5,000, and Shadid made the call. The cutoff showed {6-Spades}{4-Spades}, with that bluff successfully called by Shahid's {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.
