Marko Pantelic
Marko Pantelic

Marko Pantelic, who came into Day 2 as the overall chip leader, has held his ground in the first two levels of play, and he's still working with plenty of chips at the 440,000 mark.

A recent pot saw Ubaid Habib check from the big blind on a {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board, into Pantelic in early position. With more than 60,000 in the pot, Pantelic bet 45,000, and Habib tanked for a couple of minutes, then folded.

Pap Piling Up the Chips

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Peter Pap
Peter Pap

Peter Pap opened to 17,000 from the hijack, and Jacque Lavadour made the call from the big blind.

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and Lavadour check-folded to a 15,000 bet from Pap. After entering the day as one of the top chip stacks in the field, Pap has added to that number and is right around the 600,000 chip mark as the first break of Day 2 approaches.

Ajayi Shoves Turn, Fades the Snap Call

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jeff Griffiths opened to 5,000 from under the gun, Dann Turner called on the button, and Dapo Ajayi called in the big blind.

Ajayi checked, and Griffiths bet 13,000 on the {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop. Both Turner and Ajayi called.

Ajayi then led out all in for his last 45,000 on the {9-Spades} turn, Griffiths folded, and Turner took a few seconds to contemplate his next move.

"I faded the snap call!" exclaimed an excited Ajayi as Turner thought things over. Turner eventually decided on a fold, and Ajayi showed {j-Spades}{4-Spades} for the flush as he took in the pot.
