Neuville Cracks Aces To Knock Out Petriv

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

Two players including Pierre Neuville limped in with the latter in the small blind. Stanislav Petriv then raised to 14,000 in the big blind, which only Neuville called. On a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Neuville check-called a bet worth 15,000 and checked again the {7-Diamonds} on the turn. Petriv now bet 41,500 and then called all-in when Neuville jammed.

Stanislav Petriv: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Pierre Neuville: {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {j-Clubs} river was a blank and the aces of Petriv were cracked as Neuville soared to a bigger stack.

Jungevicius Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Kestutis Jungevicius
Kestutis Jungevicius

Silviu Baltateanu had vaulted out of his seat with the smart phone in his hand to film an all-in showdown. Also involved in the action was Kestutis Jungevicius, who was the shortest stack on just 43,500 while Tibor Nagygyörgy had both covered by a wide margin.

Kestutis Jungevicius: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Silviu Baltateanu: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Tibor Nagygyörgy: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop caused some "ohhhh's" all around the table as two players hit a set. Nagygyörgy had one out but couldn't get there on the {3-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river as Jungevicius was knocked out and Baltateanu doubled through the Hungarian for 142,000.

Bump in the Road for Altinok

Level 15 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mehmet Altinok
Mehmet Altinok

Mehmet Altinok bets 13,000 from under the gun and faced a raise of 32,000 from Zoran Dordevic. Altinok asked Dordevic how many chips he had behind. Dordevic moved the chips closer to his opponent so Altinok could count for himself. Altinok decided to call to see a flop of {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Dordevic bet 35,000 which was quickly called by Altinok.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} which sparked fireworks at the table. Dordevic continued for 80,000 which did not phase Altinok who snap-jammed to put Doredevic all-in. Before the dealer could place the all-in triangle in front of Altinok, Dordevic called.

Mehmet Altinok: {a-}{k-}
Zoran Dordevic: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Altinok shook his head in disappointment as Dordevic revealed he hit a set on the turn and could not improve on the river. Dordevic makes a massive double-up, a flesh wound for the former chip leader Altinok.

Level 15 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Floor ten Zijthof
Floor ten Zijthof

Floor ten Zijthof pushed all in for 67,500 and was called by the two biggest stacks on the table in Martin Kabrhel and Anil Ataoglu.

There was no further action until the river, with the board reading {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs} Kabrhel made a bet of 60,000. Ataoglu quickly folded and Zijthof stood up and asked Kabrhel if he had a straight. Kabrhel turned over his hand to show {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Zijthof tried to muck her cards but the dealer turned them over to reveal she had {10-}{10-} for a set. Kabrhel is jocking for position to claim a second WSOP International Circuit Ring.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Aylar Lie
Aylar Lie

Ion Tabacaru had reraised to 36,500 and Volkan Alkan then squeezed to 127,000, sending Tabcaru into a deep tank. The clock was called on him and thirty seconds ran down without a decision to declare his cards dead.

One hand later, Aylar Lie raised to 12,000 from under the gun and Mehmet Altinok called on the button. Alkan three-bet to 50,000 in the big blind and Lie jammed for around 130,000. Altinok folded and Alkan called to create the following showdown.

Aylar Lie: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Volkan Alkan: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The "first premium hand of the day" for Lie remained ahead on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} flop and {7-Hearts} turn but the {a-Clubs} struck on the river. "Not my day," Lie said as she grabbed her belongings and left the tournament area.

Melchers Knocked out by Tantillo

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Dorian Melchers
Dorian Melchers

A big pot developed between Dorian Melchers and Fausto Tantillo with the latter raking in all the chips eventually. It only got in after the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} river when Tantillo's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} made a set. The cards of Melchers were in the muck already as he pushed over his stack towards the dealer and the table chat indicated ace-queen for the Frenchman.

Aleksandar Nanchev
Aleksandar Nanchev

"Can you believe it, he called all-in with ace-king," Martin Kabrhel said as he had just knocked out Aleksandar Nanchev. The {q-Spades}{4-Spades} of Kabrhel cracked {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} thanks to turning a flush on the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts} board and Nanchev stormed out of the tournament area without a single word.

Triple up for Paunescu on Verge of Bubble

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ciprian Paunescu
Ciprian Paunescu

Ciprian Paunescu moved all-in for approximately 150,000. Rama Mulaj smooth called before Daniele D'Angelo moved all in. Mulaj looked dejected by the move made by D'Angelo. Mulaj folded face-up {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Ciprian Paunescu: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Daniele D'Angelo: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was kind to Paunescu, but Mulaj was cursing his luck as he missed out on a set. It got worse for Mulaj as the next two cards were {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Paunescu gets a much needed triple-up before the bubble, while Mulaj was visibly distressed for not making quads.

Subik Doubles; Wheeler Bubbles

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

There were two all-in and call at the same time on separate tables as the tense bubble action continued.

Petr Subik open-jammed for the last 184,000 in the cutoff and Martin Kabrhel called out of the big blind.

Petr Subik: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Martin Kabrhel: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The aces held up on the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades} board for Subik to double.

At the same time, Jason Wheeler three-bet with a chip behind and then called all-in for 86,000 when Nedeljko Todorovic pushed with the superior stack.

Jason Wheeler: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Nedeljko Todorovic: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The classic flip propelled Todorovic into the lead on the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, which he kept throughout the {2-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river to let the bubble burst.
