Chen Jams Into Di Giacomo

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Li Chen had adjusted his strategy from preflop all-in jams and instead played a larger pot with post flop action against Claudio Di Giacomo. They had more than 350,000 into the middle to the {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} turn and that's when the inevitable shove by Chen followed.

Di Giacomo asked for an exact count and folded once it was deemed to be for 283,500 total.

Youzbashi Dizaji Doubles; Turbic Doesn't

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Dogan Guengoer was the only recent casualty but that then changed when two all-in and call took place over on table 109 within very quick succession.

Ali Reza Youzbashi Dizaji had reraised to more than one third of his stack and eventually got it in when facing resistance by Martin Scharfetter.

Ali Reza Youzbashi Dizaji: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Martin Scharfetter: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board was no threat for the superior pair and Youzbashi Dizaji doubled for 187,500.

Shortly after, Amir Turbic jammed for 73,000 from under the gun and Bogdan Munteanu called from one seat over.

Amir Turbic: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Bogdan Munteanu: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Neither player connected with the {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Spades} board and Turbic's live cards plus flush draw bricked off.

Baltateanu Doubles Through Maillaud

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The chip changes on table 84 kept coming at a rapid pace as Nicolas Maillaud came back from a very short stack. He then tangled with Silviu Baltateanu in another preflop contest with the latter at risk for 182,500.

Silviu Baltateanu: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Nicolas Maillaud: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

As has been the case for showdowns involving the Romanian lately, he filmed the showdown with his phone and provided the commentary. "Ace on the turn" he said when he saw the good news on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board to secure his double-up.

Roland Dietz was not as fortunate on the same table and busted, Luca Beretta and Josef Gulas also came up short on other tables in their last showdowns.

Khalil Doubles Through Di Giacomo

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Abdel Khalil
Abdel Khalil

With some 200,000 in the middle to the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} river, Claudio Di Giacomo checked and then faced the shove by Abdel Khalil. The Italian asked for a count and the push by Khalil was for 178,000 total. Some thirty seconds later, Di Giacomo called and Khalil revealed the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

That was good enough for the double, as Di Giacomo briefly flashed his {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for queens and jacks before paying off his opponent.

The Battle Between Kabrhel and Ataoglu Continues

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

At the river on a board of {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Martin Kabrhel bet 37,000 and insisted he was not bluffing Anil Ataoglu. After more table talk Ataoglu managed to find the hero call and was right. Kabrhel showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} Ataoglu rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} to win the pot. Kabrhel still insists he wasn't bluffing as he had one pair (of fives).

On the table next door, the clock was called on Sebastian Langrock for tanking under the gun. The bubble is soon approaching and stalling tactics have been engaged by some already.

Tantillo Beats De Neve in Showdown

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With around 120,000 in the middle to the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Fausto Tantillo checked in the hijack and then called a bet worth 32,000 by Vincent De Neve on the button. Tantillo check-called for another 150,000 on the {k-Hearts} turn and the {5-Clubs} river was knuckled back by De Neve.

Tantillo rolled over the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the top pair and that earned the pot for the Italian.
