Lalinovci Leads the Way to Final Table at King's Resort Rozvadov

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Besnik Lalinovci

Day 3 of the Spring Edition of the 2022 WSOP International Circuit at the King's Resort in Rozvadov has concluded which has seen a day full of blow-ups and tantrums. The 57 players played down to the final table where nine competitors from six different nations will compete for the €160,500 prize. Each player has already locked up an entry to the WSOP Europe Main Event worth €10,350 and a minimum payout of €14,500.

Kosovo's Besnik Lalinovci currently leads the way with 6,200,000 chips while his compatriot Rama Mulaj is not far behind in third place with 5,200,000. Germany's Luc Ta is sandwiched in-between with 5,385,000.

German Vincent De Neve will be making his second appearance at a WSOP Circuit event final table on Tuesday, he finished 3rd for € 114,709 in the September 2021 edition.

Czech native Lukas Zaskodny is no stranger to the bright lights of the main stage at King's Casino but comes into the day 7th in chips and will need some early spin-ups to be within contention to claim the coveted WSOP Circuit Ring.

Play will resume on April 19th at 2 p.m. local time with the blinds at 30,000/60,000 and 60,000 big blind ante and 21:52 remaining on the clock. Due to King's Casino broadcasting the final table on Twitch and YouTube, PokerNews will be providing updates on an hour delay to stay in sync with the stream.

Action of the Day

Day 3 was jam-packed with drama with several blowups along the way. Coming into the third day with one of the biggest stacks was Daniele D'Angelo who lost the vast majority of his stack in the first three hands of the day when a bluff went wrong.

Martin Kabrhel proved to be a constant thorn in the side of many, but none more so than Nadir Kinno who had several battles throughout the day with Kabrhel. The Czech WSOP Europe champion amassed a huge stack to take the chip lead with three tables left to ultimately finish in 22nd place.

Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel went from chip leader with 24 remaining to 22nd place finisher

One of the most sickening bad beats occurred on the feature table where Jan van der Stroom's pocket aces were cracked by Alfredo Cuti's pocket aces. Cuti made a flush on the turn to eliminate van der Stroom who took defeat with humility where many others wouldn't.

Fausto Tantillo had a rollercoaster of a day and came into the session second in chips. He steadily grew his stack up to 5,000,000 chips before dusting them off in the space of a one hour level.

Symeon Alexandridis was the last casualty of the day busting in 10th place which was good for a cash prize of €12,000 and a seat at WSOP Europe Main Event in the fall.

After stealing the blinds on the previous hand, Symeon Alexandridis pushed all-in again from under the gun for 860,000. This time he had a customer in Luc Ta who made the call.

Luc Ta: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Symeon Alexandridis: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

With a board of {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Ta's Jacks held on to send Alexandridis to the rail who just missed out on claiming a seat for tomorrow's final table.

Rene Crha Eliminated in 11th Place (€12,000)

Rene Crha

Volkan Alkan got a shove through on the outer table and then raised to 125,000 as second player to act. Tom Cohen moved all-in and Alkan folded.

In the next hand, Cohen raised to 125,000 on the button and Rene Crha jammed for 830,000 in the small blind. Besnik Lalinovci in the big blind asked for a count and then called while Cohen folded.

Rene Crha: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Besnik Lalinovci: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

"I don't need a four, I need small cards," Crha said in table chat but immediately sighed when he spotted the window card. The {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop improved Lalinovci, who retained the lead on the {k-Hearts} turn and {q-Clubs} river. Crha's run came to an end in 11th place for a payday of €12,000.

Ciprian Paunescu Eliminated in 12th Place (€10,275)

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Ciprian Paunescu
Ciprian Paunescu

Soon after coming back from the break on the outer table, Tom Cohen raised to 120,000 and Ciprian Paunescu pushed all-in from the small blind. Volkan Alkan forfeited his big blind and Cohen instantly called the shove for what appeared to be just under one million in chips.

Ciprian Paunescu: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Tom Cohen: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

While the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop gave Cohen a set of jacks, Paunescu had a huge redraw. The {k-Clubs} turn changed nothing and the {q-Diamonds} river only improved Cohen to a full house. Paunescu's run has come to an end in 12th place for a payday of €10,275.

Fausto Tantillo Eliminated in 13th place (€10,275)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Fausto Tantillo
Fausto Tantillo

From UTG +1 Fausto Tantillo bet 110,000 which prompted Luc Ta to three-bet to 425,000 at the cut-off. Nedeljko Todorovic made a cold call from the small blind. After much consideration, Tantillo pushed for 2,100,000.

Ta weighed up his options and decided to move all-in himself. Todorovic quickly folded to allow his competitors to battle it out on the WSOP Europe Main Event ticket bubble.

Luc Ta: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Fausto Tantillo: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Tantillo walked into Ta's pocket aces at the most inopportune time as it turned out Todorovic was holding the other pair of jacks meaning he would have to hit either a four-card flush or straight to win the pot.

The flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} gave a glimmer of hope for a flush possibility, but the {3-Spades} turn guaranteed the pot to Ta and sends Tantillo to the cage for a five-figure payday.

Alfredo Cuti Eliminated in 14th Place (€8,960)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Alfredo Cuti
Alfredo Cuti

Alfredo Cuti raised to 100,000 and one of the table big stacks in Rama Mulaj defended the big blind. On a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Mulaj check-called a small continuation bet and checked again the {k-Diamonds} on the turn. Following a second barrel by Cuti for 215,000, Mulaj raised and instantly called the shove by the Italian for around one million.

Alfredo Cuti: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Rama Mulaj: {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The flopped full house for Mulaj left Cuti on very thin ice as the {5-Clubs} river ended his tournament in 14th place for €8,960.

There is now a significant pay jump, while not monetary, as the top 12 finishers will earn the entry to the 2022 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event.

Gregor Sverko

On the highjack Gregor Sverko raised to 100,000 and was called by Fausto Tantillo in the big blind which led to a flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}, both players decided to check.

The turn produced a {k-Hearts} and Sverko bet 175,000 but found resistance from Tantillo who reraised to 395,000. After much deliberation, Sverko moved all of his chips over the betting line and was snap-called by Tantillo.

Fausto Tantillo: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Gregor Sverko: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

There was no assistance on the river for Sverko as Tantillo's two pair holds and is looking good to make an appearance at the final table.

Gregor Sverko opened the betting from the highjack to 80,000. Next to act was Onur Gur who decided to move his remaining 530,000 chips into the middle. Symeon Alexandridis with the superior stack also went all-in which instigated a fold from Sverko.

Symeon Alexandridis: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Onur Gur: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} brought no help for Gur a {7-Clubs} on the turn paired the board, but the {a-Diamonds} on the river consigned Gur to the rail and out in 16th place

In the highjack Jan Van Der Stroom bet 85,000 which was promptly three-bet to 205,000 by Alfredo Cuti in the cut-off. Van Der Stroom fired back by going all-in for 535,000 and was snap called by Cuti.

Jan Van Der Stroom: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Alfredo Cuti: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

There was laughter around the table when both players turned over pocket aces, but the humor was soon stifled by a monotone flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn sealed the Dutchman's fate who shrugged his shoulders and graciously shook the hand of Cuti wishing him well for the rest of the tournament.

Josef Gulas Jr: {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Volkan Alkan: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
