Paunescu Leaves D'Angelo With Fumes

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Daniele D'Angelo moved all-in from the button and Ciprian Paunescu did so from the small blind with a near identical stack.

Daniele D'Angelo: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Ciprian Paunescu: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} board let Paunescu double for 229,000 and that left D'Angelo with 18,000. Two other players busted shortly thereafter and D'Angelo then called all-in when Rene Crha raised from under the gun to 40,000. Symeon Alexandridis in the big blind called and the two active players checked down the {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board.

Alexandridis' cards were briefly exposed but Crha's {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} were best, D'Angelo hit the rail with his unimproved {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Tabacuru Eliminated by Kinno

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ion Tabacaru moved his remaining stack of 170,000 from the cut-off. Nadir Kinno from the small blind asked for a count and assessed Michael Gloess's stack in the big blind. Kinno moved all in which got a quick fold from Gloess.

Ion Tabacaru: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Nadir Kinno: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

A scary flop of {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for Tabacaru as additional flush outs as well as his two overcards came into play. The turn of {9-Diamonds} sealed Tabacaru's fate with the inconsequential {j-Diamonds} on the river. Kinno scoops the pot and possesses an above-average stack.

Hanel Escapes From Elimination

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Martin Scharfetter was eliminated in one of the previous hands and the next all-in showdown on table 39 unfolded shortly after.

Jaromir Hanel was at risk and in dire shape with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. David Taborsky had him dominated with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} but the old trick of standing up from the seat and getting ready to leave worked once more.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Hanel improved to aces and tens for the double.

Zero Chips for Glot; Kabrhel Has a Lot

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benyamin Glot
Benyamin Glot

The action folded all the way to Benyamin Glot in the small blind and he pushed all-in for 520,000. Martin Kabrhel was in the big blind and asked for an exact count. His usual table chat then started and one of the first questions he asked was "What do you have? Ace seven?"

Glot shook his head and Kabrhel kept guessing a few further hands while he was in the tank for nearly four minutes. Silviu Baltateanu then asked for time and Kabrhel was given 30 seconds, which he acknowledged with "I also call for the clock."

The time to act was nearly depleted as Kabrhel tossed in a single chip for the call with two seconds remaining.

Benyamin Glot: {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Martin Kabrhel: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

"You lied to me, now you gonna bust," Kabrhel said with his usual semi-serious table chatter as the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop appeared. Nothing changed on the {10-Clubs} turn just yet but Kabrhel's prediction came true on the {q-Hearts} river.

Cohen approaches One Million Chips

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Four players went to a flop of {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} which received a check from all players. The {6-Spades} summoned a bet of 100,000 from Tom Cohen. There was no resistance from the three remaining players Alfredo Cuti, Lorenzo Lavis, and Nedeljko Todorovic. Tom Cohen drags in a small pot and is within touching distance of a seven-figure stack.

Chen Eliminated by Volkov

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Li Chen
Li Chen

The extraordinarily intense roller coaster ride of Li Chen, who had culminated on a stack of more than 1.5 million, has come to a crushing end. Several players at the table previously benefited but the final hand of Chen started in a limped battle of the blinds with Ruslan Volkov, who just called and Chen checked.

On the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, Volkov bet-called a raise to 100,000 and checked the {4-Hearts} on the turn. Chen jammed for more than 500,000 and was snapped off by Volkov.

Li Chen: {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Ruslan Volkov: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

No card in the deck except for a joker could help Chen and his elimination was officially confirmed with the {7-Clubs} river as Volkov soared to more than two million in chips.

Alexandridis Doubles Through Koleckar

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Jakub Koleckar in the small blind and he pushed into the big blind of Symeon Alexandridis. The latter called with the inferior stack and the cards were turned over.

Symeon Alexandridis: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Jakub Koleckar: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop was a sweat with the flush draw but the {j-Diamonds} turn and {q-Diamonds} river let Alexandridis double for 245,000.
