Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Michael Gloess
Michael Gloess

Following an open raise by Martin Kabrhel, it was Michael Gloess whojammed it in for 335,000 and Kabrhel asked for a count before making the call.

Michael Gloess: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Martin Kabrhel: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

It was a near identical showdown as Kabrhel had previously succeeded in and he did so again thanks to the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} runout. With the departure of Gloess, the field was reduced to the final four tables.

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Luc Ta
Luc Ta

Luc Ta opted to open shove for 500,000 from under the gun and forced folds from nearly the entire table. However, new arrival Anil Ataoglu in the small blind moved all-in for more than that and Ciprian Paunescu forfeited his big blind.

Luc Ta: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Anil Ataoglu: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Ta admired the classic race aspect and came out on top on the {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} board to leave Ataoglu with fewer than ten blinds.

Colossal Tussle Between Kabrhel and Kinno

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel bet 55,000 on the button with Nadir Kinno calling from the big blind.

The board was {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} where Kabrhel made a bet of 50,000. Kinno check-raised to 120,000. Kinno did not opt to continue on the {3-Hearts} turn which allowed Kabrhel to pick up the betting lead once again to the tune of 130,000 which Kinno called.

The river brought the {4-Hearts} Kinno checked to Kabrhel who was deep in thought for his next move. A player on the table asked for the clock but Kabrhel made a big bet of 505,000 before the tournament director could get to the table. Kinno counted out some chips but then noticed something weird, there was silence at the table.

Kinno called Kabrhel out on it but the two-time bracelet winner kept composed and silent throughout. Kinno asked for a coin which a tablemate gave him and on the fate of a toss of a coin Kinno called. Kabrhel turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Kinno mucks his cards in disgust, and Kabrhel drags in a massive pot to become one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Lalinovci Soars to a Bigger Stack

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Tim Zachow raised and was called by Ruslan Volkov in the cutoff and Besnik Lalinovci in the big blind. The {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop was checked to Volkov, who bet 50,000 and was called two ways.

They checked the {a-Spades} turn and {a-Hearts} river for Volkov to table the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Lalinovci had that beat with the {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Zachow flashed the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} with a dry smile on the face.

Soon after, Volkov fired a triple barrel bluff on the {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board with the final bet worth 400,000. Lalinovci had checked and tank-called to win the large pot with {10-Clubs}{9-Spades} for trips tens, as Volkov only had the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a missed open ender.

Silviu Baltateanu: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Jan van der Stroom: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

While Baltateanu flopped a set until the {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} turn, he didn't improve anymore on the {8-Hearts} river to become the next casualty.
