Tomovic Catches Bertu Bluffing

Level 14 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Aleksandar Tomovic
Aleksandar Tomovic

Aleksandar Tomovic opened to 10,000 in the hijack and was called by Christian Bertu on the button. On a flop of {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Tomovic continued for 9,000 and Bertu called.

The same action repeated on the {7-Spades} turn for 17,000 and Tomovic then checked the {7-Hearts} on the river. Bertu now bet 33,000 and Tomovic immediately asked "full house?" He took another 20 seconds and called for Bertu to reveal {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Tomovic won the pot with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and added "I know I have to call".

Lebong Eliminated by Mrakes

Level 13 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

Florian Lebong was the initial raiser and earned calls from Tom Orpaz as well as Michal Mrakes, the latter of which was in the big blind. On the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Mrakes checked to Lebong who bet 14,000 into 25,000 and Orpaz folded while Mrakes called.

The {j-Hearts} turn paired the board and Mrakes checked more, prompting a bet worth 16,000 by Lebong out of a stack of 50,000. Mrakes moved all-in and Lebong called it off.

Florian Lebong: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Michal Mrakes: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {6-Diamonds} river brought no help for the double draw and Lebong exited prior the dinner break.

Di Ceglie Folds Kings; Drusca Appreciates It

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Stefan Drusca
Stefan Drusca

Jan van der Stroom walked by the media desk to recall his elimination which happened to be a spectacular three-way all-in. The Dutchman had jammed for 42,000 from an early position and Pasquale Di Ceglie cold-called from one seat over.

Michael Krzyminski then jammed for around 92,000 and Stefan Drusca also got his 96,000 into the middle as well, to which Di Ceglie folded pocket kings face-up. That was also verified by the other players at the table including by Ori Hasson.

Long story short, the pocket jacks of van der Stroom and the pocket queens of Krzyminski were dominated by the pocket aces of Drusca and a king rolled off on the river for what would have been a triple knockout.

Ren Loses It All in Two Hands

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sebastian Langrock
Sebastian Langrock

Guangwei Ren called a three-bet by Sebastian Langrock and both then had a piece of the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop after which Langrock got it in with the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Ren was trailing with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and found no miracle on the {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} turn and river runout.

One hand later, Tudor Popa raised to 5,500 from under the gun and Ren three-bet to 15,000 out of a stack of 80,000. Popa then moved all-in and Ren called it off.

Guangwei Ren: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Tudor Popa: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

There was no glimpse of hope on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs} runout as Ren went from average stack to the rail.

Kaimakamis Flipped Out by Goossens

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Vangelis Kaimakamis
Vangelis Kaimakamis

Vangelis Kaimakamis got his shorter stack of around 65,000 into the middle before the flop and he was looked up by Guy Goossens to trigger the following all-in contest.

Vangelis Kaimakamis: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Guy Goossens: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop gave Goossens broadway while Kaimakamis had plenty of outs with his bottom set. However, both the {2-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river were blanks to end the end of the WSOP Europe bracelet winner from Greece.

Double Knockout for Tomecki

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Lukasz Tomecki
Lukasz Tomecki

Alkividais Stamatis limped the button and Lukasz Tomecki then raised to 10,500 in the small blind. Orhan Sen moved all-in with a shorter stack in the big blind and Stamatis jammed for 58,900. Tomecki asked for a count and then called a few seconds later.

Orhan Sen: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Alkividais Stamatis: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Lukasz Tomecki: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop missed all three players but Stamatis took the lead on the {j-Hearts} turn. However, the {a-Diamonds} river restored the preflop order and Tomecki busted two opponents.

Heder Eliminated by Van De Ree

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Linda van de Ree
Linda van de Ree

The action folded to Linda van de Ree and she raised to 5,000 out of the small blind. Mick Heder jammed for 55,000 and Van De Ree mulled it over for a few seconds before she made the call with the far superior stack.

Mick Heder: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Linda van de Ree: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

The {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop and {k-Clubs} turn improved van de Ree. "Wait, you gotta stand up," Heder joked as he vaulted out of his seat and pointed closely to the spot for the river card. The {3-Diamonds} river brought no joy and the Dane headed out of the tournament area.

Mohammad Qasim
Mohammad Qasim

Do Tran had lost a big pot early on to drop below the starting stack while Mohammad Qasim spiked a double just now next to him. In a preflop contest, Qasim got it in for 54,800 with the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Marek Blasko snap-called with the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} runout provided the ace for Qasim and the table then lost Tran shortly after.

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Rifat Gegic
Rifat Gegic

As expected, the all-in showdowns keep coming at a thick pace and one of those featured Rifat Gegic and Massimo Schiralli. The former was all-in for 41,900 and Schiralli called out of the big blind.

Rifat Gegic: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Massimo Schiralli: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop vaulted Gegic into the lead and the {a-Clubs} turn sealed the double in style, making the {5-Clubs} river a formality.

Welcome to Day 2 of the 2022 WSOP International Circuit €1,700 Main Event Autumn Edition at King's Resort

Emil Bise
Emil Bise

At 2pm local time, the third World Series of Poker International Circuit €1,700 Main Event in the current year at King's Resort in Rozvadov will see at least 263 hopefuls out of a 640-entry strong field return to their seats in Europe's biggest poker arena. Both numbers are subject to change as the late registration and re-entry period is open for another two levels and following break until approximately 4.30 pm local time.

The attendance of the previous edition is certain to be surpassed as last night's live satellite awarded another 13 seats and the ongoing qualifier on the right side of the poker arena adds another eight tickets on top. Back in April, Volkan Alkan topped a field of 648 entries while Turkey's Feyzullah Karaarslan outlasted 807 other entries in January. Both earned six-figure paydays for their efforts and Alkan also advanced with an above-average stack of 191,900 from Day 1a, which puts him on 50th place on the leaderboard at the start of Day 2.

Leading the pack is none other than the former WSOP Main Event finalist Vojtech Ruzicka, who increased his stack more than nine-fold and has 451,300 at his disposal. Levente Pal is the only player in close contention with 428,600 while Dawid Smolka sits in third place with 330,300, narrowly ahead of Day 1a chip leader Narcis Nedelcu (325,000).

Another familiar name in the overall top ten is Switzerland's Emil Bise, who won a WSOP Europe bracelet and two WSOP Circuit rings in the King's Resort. After a roller coaster ride throughout the first starting day, Bise will return with 302,900 as seventh in chips. The UK's William Kassouf narrowly missed out the top ten with 278,400 with other notables such as Petr Targa (277,200), Symeon Alexandridis (276,300), and Clayde Terlaan (271,000) all returning to big stacks.

Several WSOP Europe bracelet and WSOP Circuit ring winners are in contention including Jason Wheeler, Antoine Vranken, Albert Hoekendijk, Vangelis Kaimakamis, Renat Bohdanov, Matous Skorepa, Dalibor Dula, Sergiu Covrig, Ori Hasson, Sebastian Langrock, and Dorian Melchers.

Whether or not any of them will add another title of the WSOP brand to their poker resume will be decided within the next three tournament days. Day 2 kicks off at 2pm local time with level ten at blinds of 1,000-2,000 and a big blind ante of 2,000 before the second level of the day features the very same blinds.

Nine levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled for today and the payout information will be released after the end of the registration period at the start of level 12. In previous editions of this tournament, the money bubble was reached towards the end of the Day 2 while the following day then plays down to the nine-handed final table.

Stay tuned to find out who makes it one step closer to winning the coveted WSOP Circuit gold ring and has a shot at one of the 12 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event tickets. A champion will be crowned on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, and you can follow along right here on PokerNews.
