On Day 1a, 87 players qualified for the next stage of the tournament and Spanish player Tiago Serrazina ended the day with the top stack of 450,000 chips from his 30,000 starting stack.

Like yesterday, there will be fourteen levels of 45 minutes on Day 1b, with late registration and unlimited re entries open for nine of them. There will be 15-minute breaks after Level 3 and 6, with a 60-minute dinner break split in two after Level 8 or 9. The end of the day can be expected at approximately 1.45 a.m.
