The Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas will be packed to the rafters from May 28 through July 17 as thousands of poker players descend on Las Vegas, sharing the common goal of returning home with a coveted gold bracelet and a suitcase stuffed with cash. Those players will have ample opportunities to realize those dreams because the 2024 WSOP schedule boasts a record number of bracelet-awarding events: 99 in total.

Numerous iconic tournaments return for the 2024 WSOP, including the $10,000 Main Event, $50,000 Poker Players Championship, and $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, but several other events make their debut during the 2024 World Series of Poker, not least the inaugural $600 PokerNews Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold'em event! That's correct; players have the opportunity to win one of poker's most sought-after prizes, a WSOP bracelet, in a PokerNews-branded event!

Christine Davis opened to 30,000 from under the gun and Florence Masset shoved for 59,000 from the cutoff. Davis called with a covering stack to put Masset at risk.

Christine Davis: K♥K♦

Davis seemed poised to score the knockout with pocket kings and remained ahead when the flop and turn ran out 9♦Q♦7♠4♦. The A♥ river gave Masset top pair to score a full double up at Davis' expense.

With two players seeing a board of Q♠J♦4♠ and roughly 70,000 in the middle, Yongwei Gao bet 40,000 from early position and Christine Davis called from the cutoff.

Gao bet again on the 5♣ turn, this time for 45,000. Once again Davis made the call.

Both players checked the 9♣ river. Gao tabled Q♥8♥ for top pair which was good enough to take down a decent pot.

Bertucci Doubles Through Brett

Elisabetta Bertucci opened to 30,000 from the button and Nancy Brett called from the big blind.

The flop came A♥Q♥5♥. Brett checked, Bertucci moved all in for 71,000 and Brett called to put Bertucci at risk.

The board ran out K♣7♣ giving Bertucci a Broadway straight to double up through Brett.

Denyse Mignault moved all in from the button afor roughly 65,000 and was called by Natasha Tatta in the small blind who covered her.

Tatta had the best hand preflop and remained ahead on the J♣7♠2♥9♥4♣ runout to take the pot while Mignault became the first to be eliminated from the final table.
