Preflop Cooler Goes Wasylenko's Way
Level 11
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Eric Wasylenko raised to 6,500 from early position and found two callers before Feliks Wilczynski squeezed all in from the big blind for about 45,000. Wasylenko was the only caller and both players revealed their holdings.
Feliks Wilczynski: K♣K♥
Eric Wasylenko: A♣A♠
It was poker's classic preflop cooler: aces versus kings, and Wasylenko happened to be on the right side of it.
The J♠10♠2♠ flop gave Wasylenko a flush draw and removed one of Wilczynski's outs.
The 3♣ on the turn didn't change anything, and despite Wilczynski improving to top set on the K♠ river, Wasylenko won the hand with the ace-high flush.
