Hiltebrand Helps Mijic Quadruple Up With Queen-High
With Dalibor Mijic all-in for a few thousand chips preflop, the dealer fanned out the 2♠5♣6♣ flop.
A side pot of 11,000 was still on offer between the other three players in the hand. Johann Schamne checked first from the small blind, Fabian Hiltebrand followed with a check in the big blind, and Yannick Gautschi knuckled it back on the button.
An 8♣ fell on the turn, prompting a second check from Schamne. Hiltebrand bet 7,000, and only Schamne called.
Mijic was already out of his seat and putting away his belongings as the J♥ came to complete the board. Schamne checked, and Hiltebrand jammed for about 30,000, resulting in an instant fold from Schamne.
Mijic flipped over Q♥4♥ for queen-high and began to walk toward the exit; however, to everyone's surprise Hiltebrand tabled 10♥9♥ for a busted straight draw and just ten-high.
Hiltebrand won the side pot thanks to his bluff, and Mijic quadrupled up with queen-high.
