Hammann's Aggression Gets Retzep Out

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benjamin Hammann
Benjamin Hammann

Benjamin Hammann raised to 40,000 from early position with Semih Retzep calling in the small blind, and Karlen Aladzjan defending his big blind.

When it got to Hammann on the K4Q flop, he bet 45,000, which only Retzep called.

Retzep check-called another bet from Hammann on the 6 turn, this time for 160,000.

Upon seeing the 8 river, Retzep chose to lead out for 250,000 with around 780,000 behind. Hammann paused for a moment, then jammed, putting Retzep to the test for his remaining chips.

Retzep sank back in his chair and mulled it over for almost two minutes. In the end, he folded, and Hammann added even more chips to his stack.
