Two checks followed the 4♠7♥8♣ flop to see the K♥ on the turn. Hammann checked again and then called the bet of 800,000 from Macovei.
A final check came from Hammann on the 4♣ river, and Macovei decided to bet 1,800,000. Hammann called and Macovei turned over a pair of kings with K♣3♣. Hammann mucked A♠5♣ for ace-high and Macovei was given the pot.
