Neculai Macovei raised to 600,000 from the button, and [Removed:663] called from the big blind.
Hammann checked on the A♥3♠A♠ flop, and Macovei fired for the minimum of 300,000. Hammann just called.
A 4♠ came on the turn, resulting in another check from Hammann. Macovei fired a second barrel of 1,200,000, and Hammann continued in the form of a call.
The 2♥ completed the board and Hammann bet 575,000. Macovei pondered briefly and then raised to 3,500,000. Hammann looked back at his cards, then three-bet ripped it for 9,100,000.
Macovei immediately asked for a count and had only 30 seconds to make up his mind, as he was out of time banks. Macovei came to the decision to call, and Hammann showed a flopped boat with A♣3♦ to take back the chip lead from Macovei, who had 6♦5♥ for a straight.
