Macovei made a continuation-bet of 1,200,000 and Hammann called.

The 7♣ arrived on the turn, causing Macovei to fire a second barrel of 1,600,000. Again, Hammann continued via a call.

The 3♥ completed the board, and Macovei checked. Hammann slid a stack of orange T-500,000 chips across the betting line, putting Macovei all in for his last 4,200,000.

With only 30-seconds to come to a decision, Macovei used up almost all of it before deciding to call for his tournament life.

The two players embraced, and Macovei would have to settle for a runner-up finish, while Hammann was awarded the WSOPC ring and the CHF190,392 top prize.
