"I Forgot My Cards"

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Bustouts are taking place at a fast and furious pace. Austria's Alexander Rettenbacher was one of the day's early casualties getting it all-in for his remaining 35,000 chip stack after the action was checked to him heads-up on the turn.

Board: {K-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Denmark's Johnny Hansen snap-called showing {A-}{K-}, while Rettenbacher showed {9-}{9-} and proclaimed, "I forgot my cards."

Early Exits

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Among those to fall early were Sergej Barbarez, Thomas Butzhammer, Robert Zipf and Jaroslav Peter to name just a few.

Ranzinger Busts in Big Pot

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

That was a nice gift, Aleksandar Tomivic whispered as Sascha Ranzinger was just spotted while leaving his chair. The German had previously doubled through Tomovic and apparently now put all hopes on {Q-}{10-} on a king-high board with a gutshot. Thomas Erler had {K-}{Q-} for top pair and held up.

Blasko Takes from Plum

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Mikkel Plum raised to 3,200 and Marek Blasko called on the button to see the flop of {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{A-Spades}. Plum continued for 4,500 and was called before the {9-Clubs} turn got checked through. On the {3-Spades} river, Plum check-folded and was shown the {7-Hearts}.

Sgorrano Busts Livramento

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Hermann Behrens was enjoying a decent day on the felt, showing many big cards and just then his table neighbor Jimmy DeBarros Livramento was all in and at risk for 30,000. Jerome Sgorrano looked him up with the slightly bigger stack and he held the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Livramento was at risk with the {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and the Belgian got there on the river of a board {2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}.

Zwad Busts to Urban

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Finn Zwad started the day as one of the players above average but has been eliminated just prior to the end of the first level. Thomas Urban had won some chips off Zwad and got into a raising war with Zwad, calling a four-bet to 22,500. On a flop of {10-}{8-}{4-} with two spades, Zwad bet 18,500 and Urban raised to 40,000 before calling the shove of the German with a set of eights.

Zwad's kings were cracked and he found no help anymore.

Day 2 Late-Entrant Nandor Solyom Doubles

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Nandor Solyom
Nandor Solyom

Due to receiving less than 20 big blinds to start the day, many of the players that bought into the Main Event right before the first cards were dealt of Day 2 are either quickly doubling their stacks or exiting the tournament. Romania's Nandor Solyom is one of those players to double his stack after losing some chips early.

Solyom was all in with top pair on a {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{x-} board holding {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, and doubled up to 47,000 chips after Norman Thalwitzer turned over {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top-pair with a lower kicker.
