Somers Is Now a Croissant

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Lampros Vrakas limped in and Fabrice Somers raised to 1,600, which Sandro Pitzanti and Vrakas called.

"No ace please," Somers demanded and the flop fell {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, which was checked all the way. Now Pitzanti asked for no ace and the {10-Spades} fell on the turn. It checked to Somers, who bet 3,400 and earned a call by Vrakas only.

Vrakas bet the {5-Hearts} river for 7,500 and Somers reluctantly called. His opponent mucked and Somers flashed the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

"What does fish mean in French?" he demanded and was answered "poisson". Pitzanti turned that into croissant, which he attributed as the new nickname for the Belgian.
