Murthy Straightens Out Ossentjuk

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Neel Murthy
Neel Murthy

Neel Murthy defended the big blind against a button raise by Thijs Ossentjuk and check-raised the {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, which his opponent called. Murthy then jammed the {4-Spades} on the turn and his Dutch opponent reluctantly called it off for what appeared to be 38,000.

Thijs Ossentjuk: {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Neel Murthy: {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}

Ossentjuk was drawing dead already and that made the river a formality.

Lampropoulos Doubles Through Hooijer

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The cards of Berend Hooijer were already in the muck as he paid off the 52,300 stack of Nikolaos Lampropoulos. On a board of {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Spades}, the {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} of Lampropoulos had prevailed and he scored a full double.

Hooijer remains well above the average on his second bullet of the day, though.

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Fabrice Somers was involved in three-way action to the {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} turn on which Jakob Madsen bet 3,000. Somers raised to 10,500 and Moreno Plozza then moved all-in Madsen folded and Somers eventually called for around 30,000 with the words "I need help".

Fabrice Somers: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}
Moreno Plozza: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The {2-Clubs} river paired the board and that spelled the end for the Belgian. He had previously suffered a setback with jacks full when Leonardo Armino turned quads eights.

El Hani Runs Into the Nuts

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Abdelmajid El Hani was all-in when the bigger side pot played out between Andrzej Jedryczka and Petr Setka. The latter called the full bet on the {j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} turn and then did so again for what appeared to be 43,000 on the {k-Spades} river.

Jedryczka turned over the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Setka had {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the second nuts, El Hani was eliminated with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair.

De Neve Takes From Bensimhon

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Eyal Bensimhon raised to 3,900 and was three-bet to 10,000 by Vincent De Neve, which was cold-called by Marc Huelk on the button. The initial raiser also filled up and they headed to the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} flop that got checked through. On the {2-Spades} turn, Bensimhon bet 26,000 for De Neve to call and Huelk folded.

There was no further action on the {4-Diamonds} river and Bensimhon's {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} was no good, as De Neve had the superior {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Berdis Jams Into Do; Zaugg Doubles

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On a completed board of [QsJdc3d6h] and with 83,000 in the middle, David Berdis jammed for around 62,000. Anh Do was deep in the tank and eventually folded.

Right after, Stefan Zaugg three-bet jammed for 32,000 and Paul Covaciu reluctantly called.

Stefan Zaugg: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Paul Covaciu: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} almost delivered the flush but Zaugg doubled.
