Frey Busts to Bahri

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Andres Frey opened to 2,200 and Safwane Bahri then three-bet to 6,300 from one seat over. While his opponent was in the tank, Bahri played on his phone. Frey then jammed and Bahri called when he looked up and saw the motion.

Andres Frey: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Safwane Bahri: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board left Frey drawing dead on the turn as he was covered by a few big blinds.

Viard Cannot Hold With Kings

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The cards were already on their backs as Josef Gulas Jr was at risk preflop for 44,600. A raising war had apparently forced out a third player with ace-king and Gulas Jr was in need of help, as Alexandre Viard his pair crushed.

Josef Gulas Jr: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Alexandre Viard: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Gulas Jr turned a set of jacks to survive.

Ramachandran Doubles Through Maddah

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Kisohkumar Ramachandran got his stack worth 31,600 in with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and was looked up by Alireza Maddah with the inferior {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and the superior pocket pair held.

New Faces in the Field

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Irena Macesovic has re-entered recently and some of those that busted yesterday are also in the mix.

Kuo Eliminated by Cornell

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Han Kuo
Han Kuo

Joining the action on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} turn, Brian Cornell bet 2,900 into around 15,000 from an early position. Han Kuo got it in for 26,800 in the cutoff and Cornell reluctantly called.

Han Kuo: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Brian Cornell: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Kuo had the open ender and flush draw but failed to get there on a brick {7-Hearts} river.

Gallistl Loses Some Chips

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

On the river of a board {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Jan Gallistl made it 3,200 to go into a pot of 5,800. Mayhar Rezai raised it up to 11,000 and earned a call.

Gallistl called and flashed the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} but it was Rezai who won the pot with the {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a wheel.

Huley Busts Flush Over Flush

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The turn showed {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and Ismail Kalkan checked out of the small blind. Uwe Matthias bet and Dimitri Huley moved all-in for just 10,900 from one seat over. Kalkan was in the tank and the clock was called on him, he then called and so did Matthias.

Both active players checked the {10-Diamonds} river and Huley tabled {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush. Kalkan had {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for top pair and the busted nut flush draw but it was Matthias who earned the pot with {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the superior flush.
