"Hamburger." Bows Out

Level 16 : 100,000/200,000, 20,000 ante

"ThenThereWas1" opened to 400,000 from under the gun and "Lmiiyaa" three-bet on his left. "Hamburger." was in the big blind and stuck the last of his chips for just over 1,000,000. "ThenThereWas1" also called to create a small side pot.

On a king-high flop, "ThenThereWas1" check-folded to a bet from "Lmiiyaa" who showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}. "Hamburger." held {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and was merely cheering for a ten to stay alive. The turn and river bricked out and "Hamburger." was eliminated.

"kaledak" Cracks Aces to Double Up

Level 15 : 90,000/180,000, 18,000 ante

"DaddyDayCare" opened to 360,000 from under the gun and was called by "kaledak" in the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and "kaledak" checked to "DaddyDayCare" who continued for 443,822. "kaledak" check-raised to 2,231,466 and "DaddyDayCare" moved all in. "kaledak" called off his remaining 601,662 chips and the cards were face up.

"kaledak": {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
"DaddyDayCare": {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

"DaddyDayCare" was currently in the lead but "kaledak" had some outs with a flush draw and two pair outs. The turn brought the {3-Clubs} to give "kaledak" the lead. The {10-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and "kaledak" picked up a big double.

"Atiesh" In the Lead

Level 14 : 75,000/150,000, 15,000 ante

Just 28 players remain in the quest for the title and the $362,000+ first-place prize with "Atiesh" leading at the break.

Cochrane Eliminated Deep in the Money

Level 14 : 75,000/150,000, 15,000 ante
Gavin Cochrane
Gavin Cochrane

The action folded around to Gavin Cochrane in the small blind who used up his time bank before sticking in a raise to 525,000. "kaledak" was in the big blind and clicked it back, forcing Cochrane all in for his extra 78,096 chips.

"kaledak": {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}
Cochrane: {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Cochrane was the only one with a pair in his hand but the flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} hit "kaledak", leaving Cochrane with just one out. The {10-Hearts} on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river was not going to cut it as Cochrane was eliminated in 30th place.

"heyway" Leaves "Face-O" on Crumbs

Level 13 : 60,000/120,000, 12,000 ante

"Face-O" raised it up to 492,000 in the cutoff only to have "heyway" shove all in for 1,141,972 in the big blind. "Face-O" made the call without much hesitation and the cards were tabled.

"heyway": {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
"Face-O": {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The flop of {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} put "Face-O" way out front with a set of queens. However, the {9-Diamonds} on the turn gave "heyway" a ton of outs to stay alive. He peeled off the {a-Clubs} on the river for a set of aces and scored a double up, leaving "Face-O" with less than five big blinds.
