Signs of Our First Bustouts

As the blinds and antes go up, so does the size of the average pot. As a result, we are slowly starting to see players walk away from the tournament area. In 4 minutes, the blinds will go up again and we should see an increased number of eliminations throughout the next level.

John "The Razor" Phan Playing Table Captain

All ten tables that began play in the pavillion are still there and play seems to be rather slow, with the exception of that of John Phan's. John has been playing the role of table captain, betting relentlessly on every street. He is at the same table with Steve Sung, and the two of them are initiating all the action.

Men "The Master" Nguyen Eliminated

Just before the break, Men "The Master's" quest to take over first place on the all-time seven-card stud money list at the WSOP came to an end . . . at least until the next stud event.

Men "The Master": {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Opponent #1: {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Opponent #2: {8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{A-Spades}

Nguyen tossed in his last 120 on fifth street with his trademark catchphrase "all you can eat, baby" and was called by two opponents. His opponent's aces and deuces bested his sixes and threes and he was sent to the rail.
