Ambassador of Poker off to Quick Start

Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton was in the hand against two opponents on a flop of {2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. The turn came {9-Clubs}, the small blind bet 700, middle position called, Sexton raised to 3000, the small blind reraised 4000 more, Sexton called and the middle position player folded. The river came {6-Clubs}. The small blind pushed all-in and Sexton called. The small blind turned over pocket aces for a set, but Sexton turned over {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush to take the pot. After the hand, Sexton was up to 22000 in chips.

Mike Matusow Needs To Avoid Jacks

Under the gun, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow raised and two players called. The player in the big blind popped it to 1,110 and Matusow was his only caller. The flop came {7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Matusow called a 3,000 bet. The turn was the {7-Clubs}, the other player moved in for 5,250, and Matusow thought a long time before mucking.

Matusow said he folded Jacks; the other player said he had Queens. Last night Mike was knocked out when he ran Jacks into Devin Porter's Kings...Jacks aren't a lucky hand for "The Mouth" right now.
